Just built the SDCC Action Comics #1 set that I got from bricklinked parts from ColaradoBricks.  Looks really good and is now on my desk at work and being admired by many people.

    Building my Ant-Man set #76039
Those three minifigs are too cool!
And those brick build Lego bricks are just too funny.
I haven't seen the movie (yet) but I just had to get this set because of those figs. They will blend in nicely with all my other sci-fi Lego stuff.

^ Ant-Man was an awesome movie, definitely looking forward to Ant-Man 2. My wife hated the character before we saw the movie, but after seeing that film, she rates Scott Lang as up there with Star-Lord/Peter Quill.

Mixed status today, happy as I got 4 sets from Ireland at a reasonably good price due to current exchange rates. Sad as the wife said that  she would get them for me as birthday presents and I can't have them till then. :o(

^ Sorry to hear that, that really sucks. Keep with it, you do some awesome work. Can they elaborate why it was knocked back?

Thanks for the kind words :)

"This year we had 250+ submissions across both shows and we only have the space and budget for about half of that at ExCeL. As a result of the high number of submissions it has taken us longer than we hoped to thoroughly consider everyone’s submissions and ensure we were making the best decisions for the show." - Teresa Elsmore.

I was planning to bring the following as well as a LEGO Store - Modular Building and two other £30-80 buildings which I'm keeping a secret :)

    https://flic.kr/s/aHskfjQccb

I'll try and email them back, that way I can learn from what is good and what isn't good for next year.

    A Letter From Kevin Hinkle

    Thanks Kevin and Kim :)

    Story:
I had a dream last night were I met Kevin Hinkle from LEGO! - Me, 26 August 2015.

What A Day... (and it hasn't even hit noon yet!)

"Dear Adeel, I’m very sorry to say that we cannot accept your MOC submission for BRICK 2015 ExCeL. I know that this is not what you wanted to hear." - Teresa Elsmore.

I had another LEGO dream last night that someone was selling the Bat-Pod (5004590) for £20 because the box was badly damaged although it was still sealed, I went ahead and purchased it...DARN IT! :/

I just now I received a letter from Kevin Hinkle!

Just realised that taking apart a 3000+ piece build and sorting it into it's relevant shapes sizes and colour and putting it into the resealable bags for the next build is nowhere near as much fun as building it in the first place.

I appear to be leaking vital fluids.
    (nose bleed).

I promise it was not caused by shoving bricks up it.
    (I have a cold like beyoncé's butt)

    (It won't quit).

    Please, Lord, make it quit...
No amount of spandex and lycra will protect us from aging saggy buttocks.

(It is possible I may have a feverish headcold).

Been sitting making Argos reservation 'preorder' lists in preparation for tomorrow. Thinking what I want, what would be nice to have, what to buy to resell, how to square it away with the wife etc. Suddenly asked myself if all the hassle was worth it, I have loads to build and not much time and space. Have deleted my basket and feel its a small step in the right direction!

Open them up to make sure the sets are actually there, then donate them to the UK equivalent of Toys for Tots. We AFOLs may not enjoy MegaBloks but I imagine a less fortunate child would.

I just placed nine orders on Bricklink; each one has elements for a new MOC with 680+ pieces. I also ordered additional parts which I was missing for several other MOC's so hopefully those will all cover my Flickr feed for one or two months :)

I'll need to order four copies of 4552400 however it only appears in one set in white, therefore I have only two options which are both European sellers :/

Just moved into my new room yesterday and to my delight there were 2 tables in there of the exact same height, so I'm using those as my Lego building/display space and my own table for work-related stuff.

just realized the upper jaw of old dragons / crocos can clip on bars oO

for example you can clip a large flame piece inside the mouth of a dragon master dragon.

^ I've just come to embrace the weirdness.  I can say, the store manager at TRU was quite impressed I was able to almost immediately identify a Hot Dog Guy and the Space Trooper.

Not to mention the Gargoyle, Witch and Tiger Lady from S14.

Weirdly impressed.  Probably not a good thing, but who cares, right?
