Kiss kiss Batman are available today at Cinemark via their app (which doesn't work as it's supposed to, at least for me). The employee just gave it to me.

YMMV as you may get away with paying for 2D instead of the more expensive 3D (which is supposed to be tied to the Polybag).

oh, and there was selected/assigned seating of your choice.

Same give away at the Hollywood premiere last Saturday. Wonder if it's just for press or if it will run through the entire show? Going to make the Chevrolet stand very popular!

Just seen the film, as a DC fan I'm now baffled as to how Warner Bros keep screwing up DCU films when they can get something like that so right!

I've been skeptical on whether or not to purchase #70903 ever since it released. It looks like a car from Creator, but it has cool minifigs. I find Creator cars too simple, and I tend to appreciate sets that great builds more than the minifigs.

So a challenge for those of you who like it. Try and use your words to sell this set to me. The only rule is, you can't use the minifigs as a selling point.

Watched the first showing on IMAX. I like this one more than the lego movie, story, music and everything else. Has more feels moments than I expected it to have lolz.

I took little miss xwingpilot to see The LEGO Batman Movie today as she had an inset day. I have to say I didn't think it was as good as The LEGO Movie but she really enjoyed it :)

I thought it looked silly at the beginning,  then it separated Lmao I immediately wanted a set of it, and I'm glad it was leaked today.

#70917 Ultimate Batmobile looks like the Lego Movie equivalent of Benny's Spaceship & Emmet's Construct-o-Mech combined into one object with a massive amount of stud fire capability, but yeah those minifigures

Yeah. That was what I was afraid of...

I'm thinking about going again, but I think it's best to now call ahead to see if they have it in stock before wasting time driving there.

Sorry to hear that. Maybe another place hasn't run out?

Although I have not yet seen the LEGO Movie (yes, go figure), I ventured into the XD screen yesterday to watch TLBM (not in 3D, which is a bit odd)...I can honestly say that it's a grossing and enjoyable movie overall.

    (No spoiler mini-review!)

The movie isn't perfect, of course, because it varies in tone. For example, the first third of the movie is hilarious, I could not stop laughing at what they throw at you, and some things that only adults will understand. Then the movie shifts tone but it does not let down anyways, it just feels a bit slower than the beginning (which happens in most movies, so no big deal). I personally didn't totally buy the climax of the third act, but that's just me.

All the characters are spot on, the voice acting is just perfect for this movie, especially Batman, Robin, Barbara, and Joker. Although not as good as Hamill, Galifianiakis' Joker is good and is helped a lot by the animation, which looks as real as it can get and truly shows off the emotion the actors and animators want to convey. I just find it a bit creepy how Batman's attitude mirrors the stubborn attitude of a certain orange fellow that lives in a white house...Just look for it.

The story is well developed for a 'kids movie', and it throws a lot of emotion for the viewer. Things aren't usually as linear and although it might be predictable, the writers worked a bit harder to make things more exciting.

The worse part? As an AFOL (or any fan, really), you want EVERY.SINGLE.THING they show in the screen! (I'm sure the same thing happened with the first LEGO movie) I also started thinking of all the OTHER CMFs LEGO could potentially release next, and all the sets that they will be releasing after the movie is out...I need a part time job to afford it all.

All in all, I had high hopes for this movie and I was not disappointed at all. The movie is funny, entertaining, has a lot of heart, good characters with character arcs, and great voice acting. Compared to other DC character movies, this has been the best since The Dark Knight (yeah), and that is saying a lot. I give it four red brick studs, out of five.

I'm back from The LEGO Batman Movie (2016) and one set I'd love to own based on the movie is #70900 - The Joker Balloon Escape, it was my favourite scene in the entire movie! It's rather unusual given I'm a model guy who was looking forward to getting #70905 - The Batmobile before watching the movie. Nevertheless the #70908 - The Scuttler steals the show in the movie, it's a very cool concept and model.

I just saw the movie yesterday.  I'm personally more into the Marvel stuff myself, but I'll watch a Batman flick every once in a while for something different.  As has been mentioned before, there were a lot of references to the 60's Batman TV series in the film, although it's quite possible that I missed a good bit of them since I've only seen one episode of the entire series, LOL.  Overall, I thought it was definitely good.  Not as good as The LEGO Movie, but still good.

They also used a lot of other Warner Bros. characters in the movie, something that I wasn't anticipating at all.  They even included the Gremlins!  For that, I'm giving the movie some extra points.

Finally we know...but if it's the same Batgirl that's in two (three?) sets already (or soon to be released), then it's a pass for me at regular price.

Via Promobricks: German/Dutch forum members living near Oberhausen (or Berlin) might be interested in a TLBM special brick the local LEGOLAND Discovery Centre is giving to kids until March 05.

Large Batman LED lights, they only stay on if you hold the chest button down as far as I could tell.Regular keychain LED next to it for scale. They seem to be larger than the Lego clocks as well.
