I bought the Riddler-racer-thing (can't recall it's exact name off the top of my head) Yesterday at my local TRU. All the minifigures are superb. I especially like Kite-Man and Calander Man

^ The Arkham Asylum is priced at $180 at my local TRU vs. the RRP of $150. Polybags promos are in-store only and disqualified when price matching, even to their on website. So at least for me, at my local store, it's hard to justify "regular" LEGO purchases.

We'll see how this year develops, it's only January after all :-)
Hmm. I wonder if they all have Arkham Asylum marked up or if it's just in certain areas (I haven't been to my own local TRU since Christmas). I've definitely heard accounts of LEGO prices in big cities like New York being jacked up even at stores that don't have the same reputation for overcharging as TRU does, so it might vary based on things like population density.

Arkham is and was always meant to be a TRU exclusive

They were marked up at my store.  Terribly so.

TRU starts marking down to retail in February after the Christmas return period ends and most people have redeemed their gift cards.

    Hi.
Just went to the Lego store in Copenhagen to find out that apart from the largest two sets which are taped, all the boxes for the European TLBM sets are glued - HATE that!
Is this the same for the US market (assume the sets are manufactured in Mexico).

    - #70900 The Joker Balloon Escape
    - #70901 Mr. Freeze Ice Attack
    - #70902 Catwoman Catcycle Chase
    - #70910 Scarecrow Special Delivery

    Taped:
    - #70904 Clayface Splat Attack
    - #70909 Batcave Break-In
    - #70911 The Penguin Artic Roller

Smaller sets are glued on and have the backs able to be ripped open like a pizza box yeah? Haven't they always done that?

I'm not someone who knows all the ins and outs of the Batman world so I don't know if this is something anyone knows... but why has Robin got giant 'googly' eyes?

That is also my understanding; I was just being thorough in my response as "small" is relarive. For example, #70910 has 204 pieces and is glued, but #70313 Moltor's Lava Smasher has 187 pieces and is taped.

I was starting to get a bit weary of batsuit variants but that wizard suit would be a great addition to my 'every Lego wizard' collection.

Santa Batman, I knew it would appear. Now to wait for an actual figure.

I would like a few of those posters to keep, gift and use.

Where does Target sell posters? I've seen them for sale in Wal-Mart, but not Target.

^ Good idea, but I don't think they will make it. By around December, the hype will start to die down, as they also didn't make one for The LEGO Movie.

Go into the Electronics section, walk to the back wall and hang a left. They are usually on the back wall behind the suitcase aisle and the computer accessories aisle.

At this point I'm just trying to stay away any character spots or new adds that go to the movie. Don't want to have any spoilers or major plot details going in.

@Wicksy80 were those for sale or just store displays? I wonder if there's just four of 'em lol

Got Tartan Batman at Target last night. Glad that wasn't hard to track down.
  • Wicksy80Wicksy80 Member Posts: 596
@Pumpkin_3CK5 Just store display. Only those 4 available, had a stack of them which I painstakingly went through all to check if any other variants but alas no!

That Calendar Man is supposed to be the same as The Long Halloween and Dark Victory? Umm...wow. That was a really dark murderous bad guy, not the one with a calendar cape and forehead.

Originally he was another silly gimmicky bad guy. Used to dress up thematically with the seasons he was robbing, or dress as the Gods and Rulers the months were named after.

I went to Michael's to look for the posters without luck. But I did find this book of 12 mini posters. I think they are 8.5"X11"  the back cover shows the 12 posters from the book.

I now feel like a massive hypocrite. Didn't give away too much but this behind the bricks appeared in my Youtube subscription feed and had to watch it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wObtAc_naTw&t=0s
