LOL That was obviously an "I just found an early stash so I'm posting them as soon as I get out to my car!!!" kinda pic. I saw a lot of belly pics with NES Classics this holiday season.

Anyone else notice that the #70911 Penguin Arctic Roller isn't in the most recent Lego catalogue?  Is it going to be hard to come by?  It seems to have been removed from the UK [email protected] site now too.

@kiki180703  At the LEGO Store, they are having an "event" now till I think the 28 of February where you find a couple of Batman stickers and get that polybag free. I don't think they mind who they give it out to.

^I was there yesterday and they were giving out the Bat Signal poly bag. I probably saw 5 or 6 kids get them. I was too hesitant to ask if I could go for it too.

@kiki180703 went to my local LEGO Store and found the six Batman stickers that were in the set display windows. Told a LEGO Store worker as i was checking out and they gave me the set. Other people got the set without buying anything, but I wanted the batwing too so I made a $35 purchase.

Sooo... extra Batman minifigures, or there's a twist in the movie where is revealed that Thomas Wayne is really The Impossibles' Multi-Man :-)

For what I can tell, the Batman minifigures in #70900 and #70901 are identical; #70910 has different head prints (body is the same).

Got a second #5004930 Accessory Pack polybag at my local store.

FYI: Somebody posted before that their local LEGO store had 6 Search & Find stickers to locate for the promo. Last week I went to a different LEGO store and they had 8 stickers to locate. The one I went to today had 7 stickers.

Not sure if this has been already mentioned, but a LEGO store employee told me that #70912 Arkham Asylum is a TRU exclusive and will not find its way to LEGO stores, except for [email protected]

The set is RRP priced at TRU website and I have 2x $15 on reward money, one expiring in a couple of weeks. In fear that the set will be marked-up online, I guess I should pull the trigger soon.

Since pretty much everything is marked up at TRU stores nowadays, I see no point in waiting for 20% promotions to buy something else and get the Asylum on VIP double points at [email protected]

Thoughts?

We bought it at TRU and price matched it with the on-line price which was the same as Lego [email protected] I signed up for the credit card, so got 15% off and the price match. If you have a credit card, TRU says there is 10% off on Thursdays.  I haven't tried that yet. We also had $10.00 in rewards that went into the purchase.  I was pretty happy with the credit card sign up discount.

I do not have the TRU credit card nor Target's and I've been trying to avoid signing up for another credit card... my credit score is too good right now and I don't want to mess it up. If anything, I'll sign up for the Target credit card as I've been buying a lot more LEGO there lately. With all the mark-ups at TRU, I will probably limit my purchases there to exclusives. I've been able to buy the polybags promos at price (usually $3.99).

Anyway, I will probably wait until Sunday to check any new sales; if there are none, I'll go for the Asylum online.

It really sucks that Lego stores can't carry the store exclusive sets anymore. That was the only place I bought them to avoid TRU and their inflated prices. I guess go for it if you can get something off. Might be some sales that coincide with the movie release but who knows if they will be any better. I will probably just wait for 2x VIP and/or a good polybag promo on [email protected]

The TRU markup is just ridiculous.  The Batcave was going for $129, which was only $88 a bit ago at Wal-Mart.  The minifigures are $4.99.  I don't know how they can stay in business.

Part of me wants to agree, but I've actually managed to adjust to the new status quo alright. After all, the TRU store exclusives are generally not marked up (unlike some other sets they sell), and are often available for the same sorts of periodic sales and deals as other sets. Last year the "Free #5004393 Cole minifigure with a purchase of $30 or more" offer overlapped with 20% off all Elves, Ninjago, and Speed Champions sets, making it a great opportunity to pick up #70596 Samurai X Cave Chaos. Even if I could've gotten 70596 at a LEGO store, I probably wouldn't have gotten a deal as good as 20% off plus a free exclusive minifigure. At least, not without waiting for the set to go on clearance.

Not being able to do all my shopping in one place can be a bit of a challenge, but it's something I've been trying to do more of anyway as an adult trying to manage my own finances. It's rare to find the best prices on all the sets on my wish list at the same place at the same time.

^ The Arkham Asylum is priced at $180 at my local TRU vs. the RRP of $150. Polybags promos are in-store only and disqualified when price matching, even to their on website. So at least for me, at my local store, it's hard to justify "regular" LEGO purchases.

We'll see how this year develops, it's only January after all :-)

^I've head that Arkham is a TRU exclusive, but I know I saw Aaron Cash in the Batman Movie minifig display at Target. Kind of odd they would advertise for sets they don't carry, but I guess that Lego makes the displays for them so it isn't something Target would control.
