I need that Hugo Strange minifigure to make the transition from animation to reality!

I wonder about Renee Montoya for the female character. The hair colour and skin colour is correct for Montoya but she could just as easily be Amanda Waller as @Shib suggests. We know The LEGO Batman Movie is not always keeping consistent with the traditional ethnicities of certain characters.

I didn't think of Renee Montoya, I always think of her as The Question (even if she wasn't the original) so without a trilby and with a face print she didn't even enter my mind.

Montoya is a good shout as she was involved with the GCPD.

Looks like Hannah Solo to me.
Just spent a while looking for a DC character called Hannah Solo, then i used my eyes and brain a tiny bit more... I got excited as this is my sisters nickname.

I'm not super-interested in Batman* but many of this sub-theme's sets look great. The two words that come to my mind are fun and creative.

    * my era is more the Batman TV series from way back which probably explains the appeal to me of these sets.

I was actually looking forward to getting the Joker mobile and maybe tweaking it so it wasnt a lowrider but after seeing the price I guess I'll have to wait until its on sale. $49 for 433 pieces is way too much for something like that, at least to me.

    Could be Renee Montoya
  • blogzillyblogzilly Member Posts: 598
In fact since she is on Gotham currently if I were a betting man it is probably her. She was in Dark Knight, several animated series, comics...and spent time with The Question like Shib said. For a GCPD detective, she is fairly popular and gets around. And she's a lesbian. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Maybe it is Barbara Gordon's mother, also Barbara.

Guys, that woman in between Alfred and Joker is actually Chief O'Hara from the 60s TV series:

I think we can forgive ourselves for failing to guess Chief O'Hara given that they have changed the gender of the character! Nevertheless, I appreciate the reference.

I wonder how they will manage to fit so many characters in a movie.
    unless it is 4h long?

the brick show posted a lot of reviews, possibly for all the revealed sets

I think it is easy to get all in the movie, if they simply have most of these other characters in the background in some scenes (kinda like they did with the LEGO movie). It is not like all of the characters are likely to have big speaking roles or be a major part to the movie. So a 5 second interaction with these characters is not going to make the movie 4 hours long.

Nice to see a minifig version of the mutant leader from The Dark Knight Returns on the poster as well. Seems as though they are trying to cram as many Easter eggs into the film as possible.

Is that classic comic Green Arrow way in the background of the landscape poster? I really hope Wonder Woman, Supes, and Green Lantern have their TLM voices.

Also... Wonder Twin Powers, ACTIVATE??? :D

The latest Club magazine has a scene on the back with the Palace Cinema and loads of minifigures queuing up for the premier of the film. What are the chances of a sticker set for the modular with the adverts for the new film on?
  • khmellymelkhmellymel Member Posts: 1,313
^That would be great as I didn't own the Palace Cinema when the Lego Movie stickers were out and missed getting one of those!  I hope this is a thing :)

Yeah. It's very blurry but I do believe that's the Wonder Twins. You can tell by the collar.

    The new trailer is fantastic.

This is a crazy odd weird feeling...but there is a Star Wars movie opening this week and I am way more excited about TLBM. Trying to figure that out. Maybe cause Rogue One, while looking cool, is still essentially a prequel.

And I have a...difficult history with anything that has Star Wars and Prequel in the same concept.

    BRING ON ZE BATMAN!

Looking forward to the Batman movie way more than any of the DC Cinematic Universe movies. Interested to see what figure will be released with the disc release when that comes out.

Hi everyone, I'm looking forward to the LEGO Batman Movie so much that I wanted to watch everything from the trailers so far in the correct order, so I made this:

I tried to work out the plot the best I could and have summarised it in the description.
Please like and share so more people can see it (I'm not making money from it, it's just for fun).

    Thanks

The Brick Fan has found again a new LEGO Batman poly at, although it is a keychain, the minifigure is quite interesting. :D

the batwing and 2 faces' truck look particularly interesting to me, I didn't notice at first that the truck was half wrecked.

20% increase in price for CMF Batman in the UK. Now £2.99.
  • FauchFauch Member Posts: 2,679
looks like it went from 2.60 to 4 here. that seems more than 20%. local shops tend to sell them cheaper.

Has anyone seen the minifigs in the shops yet, other than the Lego stores? asked around in my home town and vague answers range from "no idea" to "we get them in Feb"!

I think that they are supposed to be released today, although it could depend on where you love and the availability. I wish you good lick in finding your desired minifig said. :D

Smyths website says available 10th jan. they're also on Argos website now - but no stock yet, so I'm assuming similar.

A local store chain had probably 5 boxes worth of CMFs dumped out on a shelf last night. I was in a rush but managed to grab Vacation Batman and Red Hood quickly.  $3.99 each. I could have easily found them all.

Managed to get a full set to go on my motorised "wardrobe" moc.

Wasn't sure if an image had been posted for this poly yet, but they are on eBay currently.

PS - hope it's cool that I ganked somebody's eBay photo and posted it here. Not sure what the proper protocol is for that.

I think protocol should include sucking in your stomach so that the buttons on your shirt don't show up in the pic  :D
