Walmart is confirmed to have the $30 Classic and Duplo buckets for $30 again. Also saw Lego Movie on Blu for $6 if you still don't have it.

Are those the same ones from last year then? If so, I'm glad. I'm not getting up at 5am again to order these.

The Classic & Duplo buckets do appear to be the same as last years. For those who don't like getting up early or want to risk not getting them at all, they are available now thru the Walmart AP only, tho at a higher price. $54.00 for the Classic & $49.99 for the Duplo.Still a respectable deal

Yeah, and during the BF weekend they popped up from time to time at those prices as well, but most would much rather pay only 30 for them. I will say this they are more suited for parts buyers than resellers at this point, at least if the prices I saw on eBay, and not selling many at those prices, were any indication.
I'm sure there are those that do it, but unless you get a large amount of them to make only 10-15 dollars a piece, IMO it is not really worth it to fight a ton of people in a store for them.

Missed out on #10697 last year, so I'll take another shot at it this year. Ad says a minimum of 24 at each store, so maybe I can get one before the scalpers grab them all. There were a lot for sale on Craigslist around here right after Black Friday last year.

The Toys R Us ad is out and hilarious. My favorite is the '30% off' the City Octan Off Road Truck for $19.59. A whole 40 cents off RRP?!? What savings! And to think I could buy it off Amazon for $13 pretty much any day for the last six months.

edit: the City of Stix Ninjago set is exclusive to them and a decent deal if you want one. The rest are all way cheaper on Amazon and have been for ages.

Looks like another year of passable purchases. That is helpful. Plus I don't shop on Thanksgiving day anyway.

Yes, it will be the same one.

    Sweet!

Hopefully it's a polybag and not an insert like the Supergirl for the PS4.

    Which means...

If GS sells the PS4 Supergirl Dimensions starter, you can get Green Arrow too!

So how low will the Lego Dimensions starter set get this BF?  Anyone gonna beat Gamestops $39.99?

    I don't think so.

IIRC, $40-45 was the lowest it went last year.

Is the GS promo online only or do you have to hope that your local store has the dimensions Green Arrow promo in stock?

    Good question.
I'm sure there are GS locations where the employees have figured out the Lego Polys are $$$ on eBay and second market.

Well the stories I have heard are stores supposedly getting only 3-4 polys where as others have so many that they have to give them away after the promo is over (YMMV if true). I just know that even with paying shipping, if I am guaranteed to get on via the web site Id rather go there than running all over hoping I pick the right store that has plenty to go around (guess I could also ask the local store day before BF, or Thursday if they are open on Thursday to see how many they have in stock). The good news for me is there are still Dimension packs I want to get so it is not like buying something I do not want to get the figure

I would be happy to get this deal online since I have to work on BF and would like to get some sleep rather than battle crowds at all hours of the night. Plus, I really want the Gremlins team pack.

@flord Last year someone on BL was able to get a hold of a list of what s@h was going to have on sale ahead of time. That was before I found Brickset so I don't know if the info made it on here as well. I do know all of the good Dimensions stuff was sold out by the time I checked in the morning around 4:30 AM.

This deal is of special interest to me, as we've gotten The Boy his own XBOX One - along with a few games (LEGO Dimensions being one of them of course) - for his Birthday & Christmas (this one big gift is shared... December Baby :D). Though I've picked up several team/play packs over the last few months, I still have a few Level Packs I'd like to get him: BTTF, Adventure Time, Ghostbusters, etc., so as long as my little Walmart carries them, I'll be happy. :)

Bestbuy [US] has Dimensions starter backs for $40, if you have Gamers Club Unlocked that goes down to $32.  That includes the PS4 version with Supergirl.

As for the WalMart $30 sale: So the LEGO bucket is #10697 . it seems the DUPLO one is #10622 . DUPLO deal, LEGO steal.

I want to write a guide for everyone about the LEGO Dimensions deals this Black Friday so that everyone will be prepared and not get mixed up:

If you are looking for cheap team packs, TRU will sell them for $12.49 which is 50% off, an excellent deal in my opinion! :D

If you want to buy some level packs, TRU and Walmart will sell them for $14.99, another great deal.

If you are looking for some fun packs, TRU will have them 3 for $20, although even though a good deal, for some of the unpopular packs, you can occasionally find them on Amazon for about $5-$7.

Keep in mind that for the team and level packs, GameStop will sell them for $15 and $20, but you will get an Green Arrow figure for free, something most players really wanted when they were given away at SDCC.

To sum it all up, I would buy everything at TRU, unless you want an Green Arrow figure. Tough choices indeed. Again, I wrote this so that everyone who wants to know all the prices and deals will know ahead of time. Hope everyone has luck on buying what they want on Black Fricay ( but really just Thanksgiving.) :D

Not much of a tough choice to me, Green Arrow is only available at one store (sadly it is a gamestop, but I hope I can see this promo online as well as in store)

    Thanks.

Can you please put this in a table for us to understand visually? ;)

    Also keep in mind:

    - If buying a PS4 Starter Pack, make sure you get the one with Super Girl as there may be some out on the shelves that do not have her poly included.

    - Only at TRU and GS will you get points for purchases, HOWEVER TRU is the better option if you don't frequent GS often (accruing points there is pretty challenging, imo).

    - Keep an eye out for TRU electronic g/c on eBay in the coming weeks. Will help reduce the total cost.

    - Target offers 5% discount with RedCard.

    - Does Best Buy have any sales that rival these sales? Their Game Club additional discount is very good...

Will the Walmart or Toys R Us prices for the Dimensions team and level packs be honored online?  Those are two places to avoid on Black Friday.

Is the starter set with Supergirl pretty clearly marked?  I was looking at some this weekend at Target, but I saw no mention of Supergirl. This is one purchase that unless a website clearly states that it comes with Supergirl, will be one to purchase in store.

There's a sticker at the top right of the PS4 starter ONLY.

i included a pic of the poly (from Google)

    I saw some at Target.

That poly sells for almost as much as the starter will sell for on BF.
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,354
maybe the discount starter packs will drive down the price of the polybag. but licensed minifigures often cost nearly as much as a set containing them.

^-- Im probably going to my local GS and ask how many of the Green Arrows are available at the store (so I know if I stand in line I can get one and they do not only have like 5 available or some crap like that) and when the store opens. As for online, not sure if these are also available online.

A local GS employee was mysterious as she said she didn't know how many they will send to the store.

Used the BLACKFRIDAY code for 3 for $20, spent $21.48 total (free shipping on orders over $19!) at TRU.com on LEGO Dimension funpacks: Marceline, Cyborg (the Boy LOVES his teen Titans), and E.T.

Even got 3% cash back from Ebates! :D
