TheBigLegoski's Brickset Bonus Ball Bonanza 22 October 2016

Continuing BendyBadger's tradition of hosting a weekly Bonus Ball draw, having won last week's one held by TheOriginalSimonB, everybody get ready for this week's raffle!!!!!

The deal is: the first 59 people to enter and provide an answer to this week's question can win a Lego prize, which this week is: set #70338 - Ultimate General Magmar.

And the question is:
So you are at a supa dupa fun epic awesome fantastic wicked party, either deejaying or just requesting to have your ultimate party-song/record played, because you really want to get your groove on, get funky with it, dance to your hearts desire, and feel that sweet bliss of ecstasy, or as people tend to say in Dutch 'helemaal uit je dak gaan!', which record/song will you choose?
Write down the artist & song, and if you want to post a link to it (such as you-tube or soundcloud etc.) that is of course totally far out!
Oooh, and try to link to it, rather than embed them on the forum thread if you can, otherwise I am afraid this topic might start loading really slow when it contains lots of you-tube clips etc. Unless of course this Vanilla Forum can handle all that easily!?!

Since my taste is rather eclectic, I could very well choose a different song from an entirely different genre of music tomorrow when asked the same question again. But this is what have chosen for now. A house classic from 1996, Grooveyard - Mary Go Wild!

Tough call. I don't think I like parties anymore? I would probably play some heavy metal to drive them away.

I love mash-ups, so my vote goes to NIN vs Carly Rae Jepson: 'Call Me A Hole'. Always guaranteed to get some heads turning in wonder!

P.S. Thanks for taking over the Bonus Ball this week!

Hmh, touch one, but seeing as you are Dutch, one of my favourite Dutch singers: Anouk, Nobody's wife is a great sing-a-long,dance headbanging song!

    Thanks for organising!

(but I'm also partial to the 'Huclebuck', here by Coast to coast: )

PS for next posters: if you post the link in the post, the video goes into the post, if you use the hyperlink button at the top, you just show the link. I'm not sure if either of those makes the post load quicker, but that's why I'm editing ;)

If this is a dance party and I am deejaying, this sucker is getting played at some point:

And what the hell, some Lo-Fidelity All-Stars for good measure.

Bombtrack by Rage Against The Machine to get some proper headbanging going on a 90s party when they finally realise that decade was defined by more than Take That and Britney Spears... Or anything else from RATM to burn the memory of those boybands...

Or Two-Mix when I'm in charge of what gets played. I'd love to play Ayumi Hamasaki all night long, but that gets too many strange stares...

Catina Song - Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes

Big fan of Doikk Na'ts. Something about the sweet sounds of the Doremian Beshniquel that gets me going.

Duplicate entry due to my poor editing skills of my 1st post in the thread. I present Two Mix:

And now I promise I'll behave and will not subject you to Fire Bomber videos :)

All Time Low Too Much. Done in the "live" style. They messed up royally when they took a serious song and did it in a light style for the album.

Anything that is played at an Irish party (wouldn't know where to start with the names of the songs let alone who played them) but after our wedding in Wexford we had a band, then a disco and I have never seen such enthusiasm for Irish dancing than from 150 odd reception goers when they played the jazzed up versions of Old Irish songs when the disco started.

I'm more likely to be caught in TRU buying Megablocks than dancing at a party! But I'll happily prop the bar up and nod my head to a bit of Stevie Wonder.
