Train Station vs Railway Station

stluxstlux Member Posts: 2,450
All train stations seem to be tagged as such, however the following 3 sets have both a "Train Station" and "Railway Station" tag:
Is there any value in having this duplicate "Railway Station" tag for just these 3 sets?

Hang on now. Seeing as this has become an issue, shouldn't we have a massive debate on which tag to keep and which to delete? I think having the tag name the same as a set name could be quite confusing so all sets should have the Railway Station tag!

Train station - rather than railway station - is the "commonly correct" term, railway station is a bit archaic.

In the UK, usage is roughly equal.

However, the terms actually mean different things, and whilst all train stations are railway stations, the reverse is not true. Just to confuse things, the official term is now "rail station", which few other than Network Rail use, but as the owner of them all, it's probably their right to call them whatever they want.

Guys, I was joking. :-) I have no vested interest in how the sets are tagged! Sorry to send this thread off the rails! Ha ha...

Well, I thought I was funnier than that! I'll accept the tumbleweed criticism... :-)
