40222 Holiday Countdown Calendar

mpc28mpc28 Member Posts: 4
Can anyone tell me if the Holiday countdown calendar set (40222) builds 24 individual models so by Dec 24 you have 24 pieces or are you only able to build 1 model at a time then break it up for the next day.
Thanks

According to the article on the main site a couple of days ago, no. Some require you to take other days models apart.

The box for #40222 also states models cannot be built at the same time.

^hopefully I have enough spare bricks so I do not have to taken anything apart!

Models can't be made at the same time. I'm just glad I got 250 pieces free :D

Someone on Reddit calculated that if you have 8 of them you can build all 24 at the same time :-)

You even need two sets to assemble the reindeer since it requires four 4161734 studs and it only brings two and a spare.

I thought it used grey or metallic silver studs under tan 3062's for the legs?

I guess you're right. My daughter was assembling it and, to be honest, at the time I didn't pay much attention to it since she just asked me to help her find the "missing piece".

    I stand corrected.

I wonder how common the pieces included in this set are?  I mean, could one theoretically just pull from their "spares" pile or another bulk brick collection of some sort?  I mean, unless there are some truly unique pieces I would assume it's a lot of generic small pieces.  It is a free set after all right?

These days "common" means different things to different people. Have a look in the parts list on the main site to see if you're likely to have what you need.

Or they guessed and no-one has bothered to check! :-)

I have 3 so far and extremely likely to get a 4th this week, so I'm halfway there!

Up to 6 now... Now I feel a need to get 8 as I'm only 2 short...

Unfortunately they're smart enough to only count "Lego merchandise" aka not PAB/B&P, or I'd be fairly close to 8 now as well :D

I had no trouble getting my PAB purchase count towards my £60/EUR65 purchase for #40222. That was in a physical store though, not [email protected]

Ah, that might be a difference vs online. Maybe PAB counts as well online, but most of my bricks come from B&P.
