What will be the 3rd LEGO Ideas site update?

This fall, the LEGO Ideas team has drastically changed the entire system of the website, with 2 updates to the site, terms of service, and guidelines. There will be a 3rd update coming soon. What do you think it will be?

If you've been following the LEGO Ideas Blog page and going through the comments, you might find an answer. The Team took suggestions from many users and implemented them in the latest update, so it is likely they will follow suit with the 3rd update.

I think it will be a LEGO Ideas Discussion Forum. There has been a lot of chatter and requests for it, especially since Moderators cracked down on spam and off-topic discussion recently.

I dunno.  talk about opening a can of worms.  official forums can require a lot of moderation, especially for a brand as kid focused and image conscious as LEGO is.  I suspect the 3rd thing is something else.

it's sad to see such projects getting almost as many votes as mines. not saying mines are amazing, but at least a bit more decent than that. I hope.

I'm sure half of those 39 are just looking for return votes on their just as impressive projects.
Some days I think a pile of bricks called a pile of bricks would get just as many votes.
I'm hoping some sort of minimum requirement on projects is a must. This 100 votes to get to the next round still means the main feed is clogged with the most basic (which will never be approved) projects.

Some of the ones I see aren't just made badly, they're outright bizarre. My personal favorite is this one; where American Revolution-era British soldiers hijack a Legends of Chima boat and use it to drive to Jurassic Island. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/153533

what gets me about some LEGO Ideas projects and users is that some people just spew out a bunch of mediocre (at best) projects and don't put any effort. Here's a prime example:

Actually now that I think of it, this could be a really fun game. Where we post pictures of poorly-designed models and their links and we try to guess what they're actually supposed to be.

There's a thread on eurobricks that basically takes the p*** out of projects.  I really don't like it. What one person sees as no effort others can be really proud of. Although there are some questionable projects on  there.

Great idea! Except, let's not call them "poorly-designed" (so that we don't sound like snobs) but call them "mysterious" designs lol

    I'll start: Guess the Idea!

Here's the link, but try to guess it first: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/141646

I agree. But most of the badly-designed ones are pretty clearly troll projects.

I think something that is very important to keep in mind when deciding on voting for a project is that the project is all about the idea. If the model is poorly executed, but the idea is amazing, it's always something that Lego themselves can fix. I think a lot of people view at as a MOC page rather than an idea page.

actually the idea is nice, I don't think lego did a boat for transporting dinosaurs since dino island in 2000? on the minus side you should expect the boat and dinosaur molds to make 2/3 of the price :-/

You're totally right. The problem is a lot of people use it as a MOC site.

The idea is cool, but it isn't visually appealing and thus won't get very many supporters. If he was to put Jurassic Park/World figures on the boat and make it a little more olive-green to match the boat hull, then maybe he would get a few more supporters.

I guess he had few available sets. there is LDD, but I think LDD ideas are generally overlooked?
