    I've just watched the latest 2 part episode Ghosts of Geonosis.  While I thought it was good to see Saw and the rebels distaste for his extreme methods overall I was underwhelmed with the episode as a whole.  I feel they could have done a lot more with  the Saw character.

    Anyhow back at it again synopsis for  episode 16 and 17(if they keel going at this rate we will have a season Finale synopsis by the first week of February,  provided they don't skip weeks)

    Episode 16 :  Legacy of Mandalore

    Hoping to get her family to help the rebels, Sabine returns home with Kanan and Ezra, and finds herself embroiled in her family's power struggle for Mandalore.

    Episode 17 : Through Imperial Eyes

    Fearing that the Empire will soon discover the identity of a rebel spy, the Rebels launch a plan to rescue him before his capture.

    So going by these synopsi next week we have the Zeb and Chopper vsimperial droid we saw in the trailer.
    Then followed by a 2 part Sabine/Mandalore arc.

    And then what I have been waiting for if I'm reading it right

    The Rebels will be saving Kallus from the empire.

    I'm quite tempted to buy just the Rebels A-wing from #75150 with no minifigures now I have a Rebels A-wing pilot. Does anyone know how many pices are in the A-wing? Is it roughly the same as the TIE?
    Being a bit sad and waiting for dinner to cook.....just went through the Tie manual and counted the pieces form each step and doubled up for the wings. 387 pieces so the A-Wing is 315 pieces

    @Speedman29 That was beyond to call of duty, but appreciated :)

    They're going for £20-£25 on ebay unbuilt, so not a bad price per piece. Having said that, I'm not sure my collection OCD could cope with buying just part of a set. #75175 is double the price per piece at RRP but I do prefer the model from a display point of view.

    I picked the set up before Christmas from Asda online for £40, Not sure I'd spend £80 on the two, but for £40 it was a no brainer

    For what its worth you can Bricklink the parts for the A-wing for about $40 but that is also taking into account I bought different colors. I have done it twice now for my custom Blue Rebels A-wings. It used to be hard to find a seller that had the fins for sale but I guess enough sellers have bought sets and broke them up that there are more available today.

    Just watched the latest two episodes.
    Anyone else laugh at Sabine complaining about the sand? 'It gets everywhere!'

    ^The line that took it for me was "He's no Skywalker" which Rex says to Saw to which Kanan replies "I heard that".

    Sorry Rex but I bet your glad Kanan isn't a youngling murdering, Rebel slaying,padawan betraying killer.  :)

    I love Rebels! Just managed to get #75106 Imperial Assault Carrier for £56 from TRU. Last one in the shop with minor box damage so they gave me £10 off the already decent £66 price. Any offers on the new frigate anywhere?

    I liked this one too.  I also like that they've been running the two-parters on a single night, at least for the premiere of the episode.

    Maybe we'll get a Saw minifig through Rebels instead of through Rogue One.  They could include a crazy, unkempt hairpiece for R1 Saw, and remove it for a bald Rebels Saw to cover both!  Of course, I'd rather have Hondo...

    Yes, it's still available at TRU for £53...

    @xwingpilot
    That to me is a super discount for that set. I would get it immediately for that price. It is much better than what I see it for anywhere at the moment here in NL or on Amazon!
    Hell! Buy one for me too for 53 quid (which is €61,65), and I will wire you the money plus what it costs to have it shipped to me in NL. Seems like a great bargain to me!
    (Don't know though how expensive it is to ship something like an entire boxed set like that to NL!? And if it would still be a bargain, Amazon somehow can ship things either for free or much cheaper than you and me.)

    Anyway, the Darth Vader that is included in this set looks awesome too!

    He is the one on the left (with his helmet taken off)
    The other Darth Vader, and Emperor Palpatine as well, are from #75093 the Death Star Final Duel. Unfortunately I do not own the wonderful #75159
    Except for their capes they are identical to the ones in the Death Star. Neither have back printing, have the 'old fashioned' capes (the ones that easily fold and crinkle). Darth Vader from #75150 does have back printing, and the new soft fabric cape which you can leaf on when you put him inside the cockpit. Oooh the face is identical to the other one, and the helmet too of course! Plus Vader's Tie (which you aren't even that interested in) is a great ship too. If I were to get this set a second time I would just use Vader's Tie Advanced as the basis for designing a MOC Tie-Bomber, for which you definitely need that Tie-Fighter window and top hatch, plus so many other parts included in that set.

    @TheBigLegoski

    Sending a parcel from UK to NL is goig to cost 12 EUR at the very least I think. Should you pass by Gorinchem, Brickshop nl has #75150 for 73.69 EUR (33% off) currently. Their free shipping starts at 100 EUR otherwise it's another 4.95 for a PostNL delivery.

    You really can't compare Amazon's cost to ship a parcel to what we individuals pay. Amazon has massive purchasing power over their shipping carriers to negociate very low rates. Amazon warehouses are scattered throughout Europe; to further reduce costs parcels going to another country are typically grouped and shipped to that country and then distributed locally by another carrier. For instance, a lot of my amazon UK orders are grouped and brought to Goes, the delivered to my home by a PostNL subcontractor.

    @Kerre
    Thanks for the info. Brickshop.nl still has 84 in stock.

    With regard to Amazon: true. Like many other companies they have contracts with shipping carriers giving them much better rates than you and I get when we want to send a parcel.
    Yet when I checked some financial news earlier today, I saw the GBP is falling against the € at the moment again.
    http://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=GBP&to=EUR&view=1W
    Which means things from the UK will become cheaper for us here in the Euro zone.

    Anybody noticed there is something very strange going on with #75170? Immediately out of stock and back order at S&H and the only retailer who got these in the U.K., Smyths, only seemed to get a handful in. I wonder if it's getting recalled and amended in some way? Was there an issue with Thrawn's chest printing?

    Rumour has it that hasbro recalled their figures to update his chest printing to grand admiral. Maybe lego is doing the same?

    Anything to substantiate this rumour?

    I went to two physical stores in Belgium today (Fun.be and dreamland.be) to pick up a number of sets. Saw plenty of #75170 's on the shelves and there seems to be plenty of immediate online availability here (BE/NL) as well.

    I's quite a big Rebels fan (got #75053 and #75048 as well as a fair number of other sets) and Thrawn fan (Tie Fighter FTW) but I find this set vastly overpriced at 45 euro.
  • richoricho Member Posts: 3,830
    I agree it's over priced. £40 here. Ouch. Looks like a £20 set from a year back...

    I just watched ghosts of geonosis and I thought it was pretty good. I liked Sabine's comment on the sand. Great jab at a cringeworthy line in the prequels. I also thought the jet troopers in this episode looked really cool. Any chance we'll see them in a battlepack. (Before you gun me down we saw half of a battlepack have bomb squad troopers who were less important/had less screen time)

    You seem to be displaying #COMCON039 in the foreground and #FANEXPO001 in the background! :)

    I downloaded instructions for these sets when i started collecting rebels and bricklinked it the hard way, i.e. I identified the minimum number of sets with the necessary pieces (not available from PAB online) and bought those sets for parts! It was great fun and only cost me £114! :)

    Carnage, the little ship to the right of the Ghost Microfighter is an alternate/combo build from Lego Club. They used to have the instructions online, it uses parts from the Ghost and Phantom, I bricklinked the parts I didn't have to build it.

    77ncaa, yeah those are the only ones I don't have yet. As far as I can tell the only difference is which minifig came with them. I had planned on buying a second Ghost microfighter and bricklink the additional parts to build one. Thos appear to be gone from shelves now, but I might still piece one together.

    Sweet thanks for letting me know I just found the instructions on Hoth bricks after doing a little searching for them so I will definately be bricklinking one. If anyone else is interested in the instructions I saved the entire PDF to my computer.

    After seeing the Comicon Ghost and someone mentioned bricklinking one. I ended up doing just that. I was able to brick link one using only 1 seller for less than $15

    @Boats75, there's also the Ghost and Wookiee minibuilds from Toys R Us.  Thanks for sharing your pictures, I think I'm going to try to Bricklink that Lego Club alternate build too.  If you have a Kroger Marketplace by you, they might still have the Ghost Microfighter.  The one by me had tons of Wave 3.

    ARo as far as I know it was just something in the Lego Club magazine.

    Solid strider you are correct, I have thought about trying to piece those together as well. Still not sure though because I don't like the look of the TRU Ghost, it's a bit boxy for my tastes but if I do 1 I'll do both.

    I was able to bricklink one for about $24 with shipping. The most expensive piece on that mini build is the Chopper head that goes on to the top, the rest of the parts were fairly cheap

    I watched the most recent episode and I was happy to see it was definitely not a filler as many people believed. Great to see AP-5 again, him and chopper are quite the pair aren't they.Really wish we could get a rebels set of the base. Command centre could include rebel soldiers, S3 Zeb , AP-5, Chopper and the new assassin droid. Could always include the speeder Zeb uses as well in the episode.

    AP - 5, Imperial disguised Chopper, a few of the random rebel soliders you see in the background, Season 3 Ezra and Zeb are on my dream list of minifigs from Rebels I'd like to see.

    I'd like to see some more sets this year besides the new Phantom as well. A base would be nice. Maybe a TIE Bomber, Interceptor or Defender. Going back to the earlier seasons the Imperial version of the Corusant Police Gunship used on Lothal,  the carrier ship they steal (if I remember that's where AP5 came from), and Sabine Wren's speeder either in a bigger set or as a polybag. The mining guild TIE would also be a nice as well.

    Who am I kidding if it is from Rebels I'd buy it......

    Could be a nice set IF the ship (a YT2400 freighter) is equal in size (in Lego) as the Ghost #75053 or even better: #75105 the Millennium Falcon. However, since it only has appeared in one episode, I doubt TLG will render it in 'proper' size if at all. By 'proper' size I mean, that like the MF it will feature an actual interior. I suppose in that respect the Ghost could be redesigned a little bigger, with more of an interior than the Lego model from 2014. It would not surprise me if TLG will release another version of the Ghost before making a lego set of this YT2400 modified freighter.

    SW Rebels, it seems, is very popular now, plus the ship appeared in Rogue One, and I think there are many people who would like to have a set of the Ghost that missed out on the 2014 set, as the series was less well known then (compared to now). I remember reading lots of dismissive negative comments on the web, when Rebels just begun, by many Clone Wars fans who did not favour the Disney style of animation, did not like the story, characters etc. There is a new generation of kids that did not grow up with the Clone Wars and who all love Rebels.

    Btw. where do you get those pictures from you always upload/attach to your posts on this topic? They are not from wookieepedia.com or starwars.com. Anyway, they are nice. Give a good schematic overview of the proportions and look of the vehicles.

    @Boats75
    There is no difference between that Kanan minifig (with the comic book), and the one from #75141  etc.
    To my knowledge there are only two versions of that Kanan: with brown hair-piece; and the one in the ghost, with a black hairpiece.
    The third version of Kanan is the one included in the Phantom Mark II #75170 with the mask, new season 3 outfit, and blind face.
