Converting XLS LEGO inventory to Brickstock or Bricklink XML file

Does anyone know of a helpful script that can convert the contents of an .xls LEGO inventory file to something more useful like a Brickstock or Bricklink XML file? I was trying to do just add individual parts to a wishlist on Bricklink but it is incredibly tedious.

Or, can anyone help me with how the data should be formatted with @klatu003's script here:

I'm not sure how the data from a spread sheet that looks like this:

    Dark Gray / Dark Bluish Gray 1 3460 Plate  1 x  8

needs to be formatted for the script to work. Thanks, any help is appreciated.

Rebrickable.com will import .CSVs and export BrickLink .XMLs.

After refreshing my memory .... that script is specific to the text formatted parts list (*.txt) that Kevin Lee of Brickstruct provides with his instructions.  AND it only corrects the part numbers that I added to the script.  So it works for Golden Hall of Edoras and maybe Part 1 of Helm's Deep.  Very limited, but some people asked me for my parts list and Kevin did not want me to share my XML files for his products, so I shared the converter.

@klatu003 I think you're selling yourself short. I used your script (thanks!) for all of Kevin's Helms Deep sections (1-9) and all the parts in the text files get converted .

Is there a link for that function?  Do you have to submit a MOC to access that feature? I couldn't figure it out.

Rebrickable's about what you can do with your collection, not really MOCs - so it's under "My Parts". If you've already got parts (as opposed to sets) uploaded and don't want to add to them, just add a new part list, import the CSV and export whatever you want.

I haven't used it but there weren't any replies and I knew it was there. Most things on that site do what they say on the tin.

@TigerMoth  Ok got it.  "My Parts" is a link under "Build" and then a big list of conversions is available.  Thanks.

In your "user menu" is also a section called "private MOC", that works best for cases like stuff you want to build.
