MOC Project II: Set conversion (ISD-ACC)

Hello and thanks for choosing my blog. Today I will be announcing a second MOC I will be working on once I get the required set and pieces. My project: turn this LEGO Star Destroyer (http://brickset.com/sets/75055-1/Imperial-Star-Destroyer) into an Acclamator Cruiser (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Acclamator_II-class_assault_ship)

Ovipusly the ISD control center must go and the interior needs a lot of work to be presentable as a Troop/vehicle carrier but that will work out itself. It's the end fin near the Acclamator engines that will prove to be the challenge to add as well as the landing pads. The inside of the Cruiser must be able to hold at least the new AT-ST and the Imp Hovertank from Rogue One. Any ideas of techniques I can use will be much appreciated.

I'm sorry, but you have a severe misunderstanding of how large these three sets are. That will never work. If you want to rebuild the ISD as an Acclamator, that would be fine, but you won't fit anything but micro-scale vehicles in it. Maybe if you took a UCS ISD and rebuilt that you could fit those two sets in it, but it would still be out of scale...

Thanks for the tips, time to get on building a micro scale army of AT-ST and Imperial Hovertanks, although the AT-ST already has one…

Did somebody say UCS star destroyer??? I have one! Buy it! Buy it! Buy it!

ha ha, in all seriousness, if you want to make it look good and true, you will need to go micro scale no matter what. It shouldn't be too hard to modify this to the ship you want. You would just need to make the triangle cleaner, add the back bit and redo the bridge. You may also need to make it wider some how..

Thanks, I plan to modify its interior a bit, reason I choose to modify this Destroyer in specific is because: the inside already looks like a loading bay when you remove its consoles and the like and replace them with one side troop compartment and the other a vehicle hangar; the included attachment to hold the ship is also a good reason. The challenge will be in modifying the bulk of the bridge and adding the fin behind, aside from adding a pair of loading ramps and landing gear, but that's why I choose it, so I can modify it and it will be my first big scale MOC.
