42053 - Volvo EW160E Outriggers

So I'm about 3/4 of the way through building the Volvo EW160E and I've noticed that outriggers seem incredibly loose compared to some other Technic models I've built. By loose, I mean they don't seem to stay up very well. Any small bump will sometimes lower them, albeit by only a little bit.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I haven't built many Technic models so it is possible this is a common occurrence that I simply haven't encountered before.
