First record I ever brought was the 7" single of Iron Maiden's Number of the Beast - was most disappointed as at the time as it seemed like I was the only one to get it on black vinyl as most of the copies sold were red vinyl - still have it today and it still plays.

Boyzone, Said and Done, was my first CD. For  cassettes,  I know I had a Stock, Aitken and Waterman double cassette when I was really young but not sure if it was my first.

Not sure if it's the first, but one of earlier ones I purchased on my own was Star Wars: A New Hope: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Special Edition) that had a nice slipcover and hardcover book that held the discs.

Similar to Bendys, the first LP I remember buying was The Man Machine by Kraftwerk. I would have been about 8 or 9 and saved my pocket money for it - so was a major purchase at the time. I even remember the interior of the little independent shop that I bought it from, though the name escapes me. It's now a bookies.

First new fangled CD was The Queen is dead by The Smiths.

Lanigans Ball, by The Bards! On my first trip alone into town, I was not into music and The Bards were the only name I recognised, had no idea what the song was :-)

Color Me Bad...I think or the soundtrack to New Jack City.IDK. Hell it might had been R Kelly's 12 Play. My mamas was the Eagles Greatest Hits Vol. 1. We got so many from the Columbia House and BMG get 12 for a penny each and buy 3 or 4 later deal that it's hard to keep track.
