Hello from Macclesfield

Finally I have taken the plunge and signed up. I got into collecting Lego again after my eldest daughter was old enough to move on from Duplo. Buying Lego for her tempted me to buy sets initially for the Minifigures. I used to collect Transformers, but stopped in 2011 after our second child was born so we could save some money. A year or so later the collecting bug stuck again so I started with the Marvel Super Heroes sets. I tried to stick to one theme. Which kind of failed. My wife bought me the first Order Tie Fighter and The Millennium Falcon for Christmas and it escalated quite quickly. My biggest and most expensive purchase was the Ghostbusters Firehouse Hq which was a fantastic build. Its an expensive hobby sometimes but worth it.

Still saving for the GBHQ, that's not a set you can smuggle in past the wife easily.  Welcome to the forum. Nice to hear that all the family can get involved with the building.
Are you still sticking to collecting the super heroes sets or have you now just gone to picking the ones you like? Nice that you can blame the wife as she is obviously the enabler for you.

Thank you all for your kind comments.I am collecting a variety of themes now. My wife supports but is overwhelmed by it all sometimes. A trip to Legoland Windsor each summer for the past 3 years and she is looking forward to the next one in 4 weeks or maybe the shopping trip in London the day before.
