Euro 2016 football competition

MaxBMaxB GermanyMember Posts: 8
Hello everybody!

I am Max from Germany and I have some small Bag Sets to be give away by competition. Be notified that these sets are not optimal quality for the collectors. It have the attached sticker to reverse side with Not for sale on it.

Competition rule. You must say who is the last player that will score the goal in the Euro 2016 football competition in France. The penalty shooting round if the score is equal at end also included. You should say player name and country. Nobody choose same player name again. You must say before 4 July before round of 4 teams.

If nobody guess the player name correct I select with random dice throw from people choosing correct winner country.

The winner can win these Bag Sets. 30278: Poe's X-Wing Fighter, 5004406: First Order General, 30447: Captain America's Motor Cycle and Dr Wu from Jurassic World Movie. If Germany win the Euro 2016 I add Joachim Löw from Die Mannschaft Series extra special.

I also have more!!! 2 more winners can each person win 2 of Star Wars Bag Sets and 1 of Captain America. I am being on holiday in Slovenija and England. So random dice throw 2 winners chosen from all people in the country of Slovenija and England entering competition. I send these August on holiday in Slovenija and in England later.

Viel Glück

Only England for the second draw? What about up here in Scotland? We voted to Remain in the EU. ;-)

Only joking! Many thanks for your generosity.

But they would have to beat the mighty Iceland (hints of sarcasm and sour grapes)

Thanks for running this contest @MaxB!

And I agree in believing Germany will take it all in the end. So my guess will be:

Lukas Podolski of Germany for the winning goal!
  • sklambsklamb speaker of American EnglishMember Posts: 512

Question--is this the goal that wins the tournament, the last goal by the winning side, or the last goal scored during the tournament? (These could be three different goals, if, for example, the score in the final game was 3-1, with different people scoring the last three goals and the losing team scoring only after the winners ran up a 3-0 lead.)

Cheers to everyone following the tournament or this competition--and thanks to @MaxB for his generosity!

    Looks like nobody has picked:

    Pellè of Italy

So I'll go with him, (and I am in England).

This is very generous of you. I don't think anyone else has picked Julian Draxler from Germany so that's my guess.

Koscielny from France from a corner..

To be sure, the competition is for the last goal and the country of the last goal maker. Winning goal is too complicating to declare it.

Portugal barely squeaked out of a weak group and wriggled by Poland on kicks. Hard to imagine them taking the trophy.

I'll go Origi - Belgium purely because: He also had a baby dolphin at the Boudewijn Seapark in Brugesnamed after him following his goal against Russia in Brazil.
  • snowhitiesnowhitie BelgiumMember Posts: 3,060
^ is that because Germany is the better team or because everyone knows the name of all the players thanks to the CMF'S ;)

@legomatt my husband told me to go for him, but since England is out it's only natural I should hope Belgium wins. Although I have a soft spot for Wales too.

I'm quite shocked that no one has said Robson Kanu or Ramsey yet. After last nights brilliant performance

I don't think anyone expected them to beat Belgium - hence 3 redundant picks in the list a few posts above. Thoroughly deserved win, but they have so many suspensions for the next match (including Ramsay), they'll really need to give it their all. Portugal looks the easiest Semi-finalist to be facing, having not won a game in 90 mins yet.

What is the cutoff for this? Might be good to close before the semi-finals at least.

Rooney - England.  What, they are out already?  Oh.

<grabs Lego DFB sheet and looks for one not selected already>

    ...Low - Germany.

You could take Neuer in the shootout if they shoot as poorly as they did this morning

(And with that penalty shank, I can see why).

But the worst (or wurst) part is that I know that a 'modern-day' Vizzini would have one extra rule for his list, specifically:

NEVER back against Germany in an international football tournament!

...Why, oh why, do I never heed this advice? :0P

    INCONCEIVABLE!!!
