TheBigLegoski's Lego Lallapolooza Lottery!

TheBigLegoskiTheBigLegoski Amsterdam, NederlandMember Posts: 1,288
As promised, after winning BendyBadger's bonus ball draw on the 27th of May, I will organize a raffle too.

What can you win? This!
http://brickset.com/sets/30421-1/Skybound-Plane
To my knowledge the Netherlands isn't exactly polybag heaven, but I stumbled upon this, I think at least, really fun Ninjago one in a toyshop last week. I hope you all like it too!

What do you need to do?
Be among the first hundred people to make and upload a photo showing your minifigs going about their business, with a little descriptive text and/or title. Off course you may post several times if you like, but only your first post WITH an uploaded picture you took will count as your entry number for the raffle.

E.g.:
I just took a picture of Nya in her Samurai Mech taking care of Bucko the Sky Pirate.
I call it: The Flintlock Happy Pesky Pirate.

What will determine who will win?
On June the 10th (coming Friday) the (Dutch) 'Staatslotterij' will hold its next lottery draw.
https://www.staatsloterij.nl/spel/prijzenpakket
The brickset member to enter and win (starting with 01, 02, etc. all the way up untill 98, 99, and finally: 00), is the person whose entry number corresponds with the last two numbers of the lottery ticket that wins the 'hoofdprijs' (main price, which is always guaranteed to be drawn unlike the jackpot for instance) of €1million. Ooh and just to be extra clear; it is the regular 'hoofdprijs', NOT the 'XL hoofdprijs' (also of €1 million), that determines who wins the price. That person shall receive a new and sealed poly-bag  #30421  with Bucko the Sky-Pirate and his little propeller aeroplane.

Good luck everyone!

I am looking forward to see all the beautiful, cool, wacky, funny, awesome pictures I am sure you will all be uploading of your own Lego sets/creations/diorama's.

ps.
@bendybadger ;
@SumoLego
Don't be late! Hurry, hurry! Enter now while you still can!

Okay! So far, this is the line up for the raffle:
01- MattsWhat            (does this thread contain sausages? Check!)
02- Bricklover18         (getting ready for this summer's Tour de France)
03- SumoLego            (some steaming toilet humour served)
    04- snowhitie              (total cuteness overload!)
05- princedraven         (tiny Dinosaurs are still among us)
06- paul_merton          (Kong on the look out: "where is Godzilla?")
    07- Legoboy                  (party-poopers paradise)
08- LegoPegasister2015           (it looks all SOOO blocky)
    09- MasterofLightning331     (very stark)
    10- TheOriginalSimonB       (Thunder Cats!)
11- ColoradoBricks          (that C64 is wicked!)
    12- nexander                  (yummi! CAKE!)

There are still 88 people that can enter the raffle! Good luck everyone!

    ps.
There seems to be a candy frenzy over at @bendybadger ; 's last bonus ball bonanza. How come no one has captures their minifigures high-jacking their favourite sweets yet?!?!?

I will be entering when I get back home.  Got to the airport yesterday only to be phoned and had to turn back due to an emergency at the office.  So delay in entry but I will be entering.  Sadly I seem to have lost my skunk Badger minifig so someone else may take his place.

Dude! That is a bummer! Loosing your skunk uhmm badger. I already got worried taking some Lego out of the confines of my house to my balcony, exposing it to direct sunlight for this picture I posted here. I hope for you, you got another one of those Chima skunk personal mascotte minifigs in your collection.
Who knows, maybe some French kid will find it, and will be like: "sacrebleu! Je trouvé un minifig de Lego. formidable!"

Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the space minifigs. Their continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no minifig has gone before.

Come on everyone! Enter the raffle. It is just a snap, click, drag, and drop away!

Stuck at work as ever waiting for a file restore to complete. As you can see a lot of "hanging around" at work.

Need to start my raffle as well might be a delay on that but at least SumoLego might make it in time (nah! who am i kidding.)

Anyhoo a little of my work lego. Would have shown full size Avro Alien but still struggling to make him stand up.

So this is the line up for the raffle:
    01- MattsWhat
    02- Bricklover18
    03- SumoLego
    04- snowhitie
    05- princedraven
    06- paul_merton
    07- Legoboy
    08- LegoPegasister2015
    09- MasterofLightning331
    10- TheOriginalSimonB
    11- ColoradoBricks
    12- nexander
    13- brickedin
    14- bandit778
    15- scoiltreasa
    16- bumblepants
    17- TheOriginalSimonB
    18- LeglessLegoLegolas
    19- bendybadger

Aaaaaaaand none of you have won.

    Sorry, major bummer!

    Yes, this is a bummer.

This is a total anti-climax.                      (LOL)

the winning lottery ticket that won the 'hoofdprijs' (main price) is FT57921
    https://www.staatsloterij.nl/trekkingsuitslag/10-juni-2016
Which would have meant that if two more people had bothered to enter, number 21 would have won.

Seeing how people always flock to @bendybadger ; 's bonus-ball bonanza's with only 59 people that can enter his raffle (based on some UK lottery), and always a couple of people who don't make it and lament how they missed out, I thought with a 100 positions/places, and a week notice to enter this raffle, surely there is enough time, as well as plenty of 'ticket-numbers' for all people that usually partake in bendybadger's lottery to join.
I am wondering why so few have entered. Do the majority of you don't like the question/assignment: 'upload a photo showing your minifigs going about their business'; or is the poly-bag lame!?; or the fact that I created this thread under the heading 'community and events' instead of the 'buying and selling' or 'everything else' topics where bendybadger opens his raffles??? Or some other unknown reason to me?!

So how shall I now determine who of the 19 people that entered, the winner is to be drawn?!?!?!
Any suggestions, anyone? They are most welcome.
Because one of you is still going to win the poly-bag!

    ps.
To all the participants, thanks for uploading all your funny posts and cool pictures!

I would vote for either snowhitie or paulmerton as those two brought a smile to my face.  Maybe have a vote for the winner.

I think a combination of the forum you put it in and making people do a little more than answer a question.  I think more people visit buying and selling but I was never sure where to put my posts but it seemed sort of fit.  A lot of people on Brickset I think are shy at posting photos of their creations as they are maybe not too good at doing them.  Also I think some people struggle to post photos too.

Don't be disheartened by this though.  It was a good competition and very kind of you to put a prize up.

I wish I had more time to put in a better entry but work has been really bad this week.  I am still working on a major problem and it is 10.30pm over here and I worked last weekend as well and will probably work this one.

All I can say is Bravo BigLegoski  nice comp and sorry you did not get more entrants.

    Okay, democracy FTW!
    You may now all vote.
Which entry do you like the most?

    Choose one of these:
    01- MattsWhat
    02- Bricklover18
    03- SumoLego
    04- snowhitie
    05- princedraven
    06- paul_merton
    07- Legoboy
    08- LegoPegasister2015
    09- MasterofLightning331
    10- TheOriginalSimonB
    11- ColoradoBricks
    12- nexander
    13- brickedin
    14- bandit778
    15- scoiltreasa
    16- bumblepants
    17- TheOriginalSimonB
    18- LeglessLegoLegolas
    19- bendybadger

I shall count the votes on Monday. So you have until Sunday midnight GMT to vote.
  • TheBigLegoskiTheBigLegoski Amsterdam, NederlandMember Posts: 1,288
Who ever of these 19 contestants will have the most 'likes' by Monday will be the winner. That is probably easier than everyone posting I vote for this or that person.
At the moment @SumoLego @snowhitie   @paul_merton   each have an equal amount and the most likes of all participants.

I wouldn't be too disheartened, it's just really down in the forum and it didn't mention German Footballers, so will have less chance of being noticed - remember all the people complaining about not seeing the Slug event.

And okay, it took some extra thinking but I thought it was well fun, I enjoyed thinking about scenario's for my minifigs so thanks for that.

So now do I take away my likes for @SumoLego @paul_merton and @princedraven ;)

    @Shib ;
I am sorry to hear read you had trouble uploading a picture. I was wondering if that was indeed a problem, as I too had some trouble uploading my 'melon walkers' picture. I had to take another picture of these minifigs I stuck to this water melon. Somehow regardless of the size of the JPEG (which was not big), the forum failed to upload it the first time, no matter how often I tried. So I took another picture, and that one uploaded immediately.

    @sklamb ;
    uh?    oooh well....

    @SumoLego
You can, unlike everyone else, like your own posts?! But the contestants can 'like' all other contestants, why not!?!

    @snowhitie
    Thanks.
Btw. I had not noticed any slug event, there was a slug event?! Other than how this one turned out ;oP
Btw. your entry is one the few, together with the one from leglesslegolegolas (a new brickset member, who I also want to give an honourable mention) and two others, who I like best. (personal top4)
I can always, some time in the future, organize another raffle, next to all the ones bendybadger does. I thought it was fun too.

So to all contestants: thanks for all your posts! I really enjoyed seeing all of them. May you all still receive lots of likes, but only one of you the most likes!
