I've seen Speed Champions at my local Target. Not large quantities though, but enough to tease you.

Came upon this today and thought I would share. Not sure if this is for kids only to take home.

^It was announced last week.  I couldn't find it in any of the area stores events as others reported.  I called as B&N somewhere even said to do.  1st one had check.  Came back and said yes.  Just show up.  Called a second one and she signed us up.  I may run over to the second one after first one as I suspect good chance they'll have some left.

I think they are supposed to be for kids.  She asked how many kids.  In the past, it's varied by store, but I've usually been able to get one as well.  It's been a while though and again appears each store is handling differently.

I just checked again and see it posted at only 1 of the 6 closes stores to me.  Happens to be the one I signed up at.

Eden Prairie had some clearance sets, mostly Nexo Knights and Brickheadz, but a couple Ninjago also, all at a clearance table marked 30% off. I picked up a #70611 Water Strider for $18.86 after member discount.

Local store has a table full of sets at 30% off. Notables included #70612 , #75170 , #75145 , #76082 , #76080 among others including Nexo Knights, Friends sets and more. Didn't buy any of them to see if they would go to a lower discount next week. If so I might pull the trigger on that Ninjago Dragon.

On another note, a box of HP CMFs was spotted with 58 bags, guess who was missing.

haha, I looked in that same box this afternoon.  I just grabbed the 4th one from back left and didn't really feel.  I got the Harry in PJs.

It’s funny, one near me had a box with only 8-9 left, but Percival was one of them.

I've seen people around town go crazy after that Percival when in my opinion the best one in the set is Alastor, followed by Newt. I'm honestly wanting a Percival just to trade it for something better later on, like an older minifig from Marvel/DC.

Confirmed via Lego's twitter page.  Who would have thought?  My guess is that it's going to be pretty crazy and lots of YMMV.

Be aware of the correction later made that it will only be the HP set at B&N.

Ugh. Good thing I still have a B&N Brick and Mortar store near me, though I kinda hope these appear online as well. I wonder if we will now have to pay over priced B&N prices instead of over priced TRU prices or if they will sell these outright

^Overpriced? All the sets I've seen/bought at my local Barnes and Noble had never been overpriced. On the contrary, they're usually four cents cheaper, plus ten percent discount if you're a member.
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,836
Sorry, I should have put it this way: Any LEGO at retail over priced to me, LEGO at 20% is the price I pay (and probably what it should cost to begin with). Hopefully they will do a sale that includes LEGO in it.

They do 30% off certain themes every so often.
  • MegtheCatMegtheCat Member Posts: 500
I hope they will do it like TRU and have it start on a Sunday (or other specific date) so it will be possible to be there when they open and get the set.

Since I want 3 of the 4 Bricktober sets this could be an interesting challenge.

let me guess, you don't want that awful jurrasic world one? the only thing it has going for it is Ian Malcom
  • MegtheCatMegtheCat Member Posts: 500
^No, I want Ian Malcolm in spite of the duplicate others in the set. I don't have any interest in the Ninjago set.

Just got an email announcing member double discount (20%) September 20-23. The fine print says the discount is not available on “selected Lego products”, so maybe it’s valid on some.

Got the card in the mail today, and it says does not apply to “Lego products, and select other Toys & Games products”. So don’t get your hopes up.

Anyone seen the Bricktober Potter set in US stores yet ?
  • OnebricktoomanyOnebricktoomany Member Posts: 451
I haven't.  Been looking but I'm not really sure when they're supposed to be released.  Any definitive speculative conjecture would be a welcome starting point!  Other than, "sometime in October..."

Back to back to store again and they're having a double membership discount weekend!  Still no bricktober sets yet.

I just spent an hour or so going through HP CMFs. When I got to the register they only gave me 10%! They said LEGO was excluded.
I'm going back tomorrow and showing this pic. Thanks for sharing @Onebricktoomany

Had a few minutes to waste tonight so swung into a B&N to look around. My son says, look it’s a sealed box of HP minifigs. I thought no way, but sure enough tape over the edges. I promptly cut the tape and pulled 4th from back left. First time I’ve ever found a sealed box of figs anywhere.  There was another box that was way over stuffed. Went through most but it was clear those were multiple boxes pulled together.

^That’s good news. Anyone have an update on the others? Saw something floating around online that the Lego stores would sell them in their stores.

Has anyone been able to confirm if B&N will get all the sets, or just the Potter ones, and will the Potter ones be available on Oct 1st?

Came across two Jestro's Heaquarters #70352 under a clearance table today.  50% off ($45).  I am not a big Nexo Knights guy but for some reason I am contemplating going back for them.

Does the member discount work on LEGO and/or clearance LEGO?

^Yes but does the extra 10% off really make a difference at that price?

You'd be surprised how little a difference can tip me one way or another when making a decision.

In that case, you should make sure you stock up on B&N giftcards when they go on sale on eBay (usually $100 for $90 but recently $100 for $88).

Yup! That's the only discount that works. You've probably seen mentioned here plenty of times before, the 20% that pops up on your email usually excludes LEGO lolz

Had my mom stop in and ask while she was nearby and the employees there also had no idea. Assuming that October 1st rumor was false

I stopped in and nothing was there.

I was just able to get #40299 Star Wars Kessel Mine Worker free with $29.95 Star Wars LEGO purchase. The item was removed from my cart when I selected in-store pickup. But it returned when I changed it back to ship to home.

Nice, I was waiting patiently for a way to get the kessel worker without paying secondary market prices.  Never expected to see it at B&N.

The web site shows a price of $5.99 reduced to $0 when you check out. But I couldn’t find it by itself when I searched.

And, of course, the BNFRIENDS coupon code doesn’t work on LEGO.
  • elspankdogelspankdog Member Posts: 403
Ok, just returned from my store.  They were kept behind the counter so I don't think you can purchase them outright, but they didn't even scan mine so maybe you can ask and try.  The fine print says valued at $5.99 so that would be the most likely scan by-itself-price.

Also I found a few 75% off items along with the 10% member discount:

#75117 Kylo Ren buildable figure $5.62
#70900 TLBM Joker Balloon Escape $3.37
    #41603 Kylo Ren Brickheadz $2.25

If others could share what they find on the 75% off table, that would be great since you can't check the in-store anymore since they added the store pickup feature.  I hate having to haul stuff up to the register to check prices.

Also, #41597 Go Brick Me is on sale for $21.59 (after extra 10%) for a value item to help get to $30 for the free minifig polybag.
