Okay, one rack of that. I can't imagine keeping all of that.
If a few sellers with collections like this decide to dump them at the same time, it could have a serious impact on Bricklink set prices all over the world. Would make me a bit worried if my collection was in that league or if I had a BL store with many of the same sets.
It would be a very interesting meeting when 80 people stake their claim on what they each want for their one thousand euros.
Funny he says you will need a week to pack it up and the buyer has to do it himself.
"[UK/Europe] The next AFOL Shopping Day is at €80k auction guy's house"
;P
After an entry fee, I'm assuming? Or would it be first pickings? :P
As I said, I am a generous soul.
I already have the parts to put the set together so they are not necessary & according to numerous threads on here, the box must be worth loads as so many people just want a copy of it to look at without building what's inside, so I reckon I'm on to a winner.
I suspect a cast iron saucepan might connect with my head
I'm still game it's an amazing collection
"Police are baffled by sudden increase in domestic violence as 80 adult fans of Lego returning from Belgium are all hospitalized on the same day after all being beaten severely with what seems to be old Lego sets"
"A lego head went down my throat and it was an old solid stud head so I almost choked to death."
"I came a little late, didn't get beaten and I walked away with a full collection of sealed Galidor. Didn't even pay, they just let me walk in and take it"
This guy's collection is randomly going to get stolen by someone else...
The police will hunt for clues to catch the thieves...
They will search for LEGO related websites...
They'll stumble upon Brickset...
Find this thread...
See this map with the planned attack...
And every single last one of us will go to jail...
Even legomental who got his priorities straight and subsequently disobeyed his wife...
And legomental's wife will take a cast iron saucepan to all our heads...
But we will have died happy with each of our precious items. Although people will question bandit778's sanity when they find him lying dead with a cardboard box.
you mean they don't question my sanity now??
I feel happier already.
A band of AFOLs set out to a far away land. They find refuge at a Belgian lady's house after being hunted by a woman with a saucepan and a 'different view' on this hobby. When the travellers finally arrive at the house, all of the loot has been stolen!
dun dun duuuuu...
The Lord of The Lego
Not coming to a theatre near you.
I just really hope his basement is waterproof - can you imagine that collection getting soaked?
BTW, that diagram starts the Ocean's 11 theme in my head. And, I think we need one more.
@bobabricks I like where this plan is going - I appear to be getting dibs on a #10221 also.
In other news, do you think the police would be suspicious on discovering a gang of 80 people travelling abroad with large amounts of cash and empty suitcases?
Sounds a tad redundant that we protect the Lego... By using the Lego, I definitely don't want no flood water on my prize. ;)
