~700 piece set from late 80s with motor

Hi all,

Just found this site... looks great! I recall having a Lego set (don't think it was technic, but may have been) that I thought was around 700 pieces, complete with a motor (square), gears, axles, wheels, etc. The bricks were yellow, and the instructions included a crane truck, road grader, and a number of other construction vehicles. Can anyone help me find out which set this was? I'd like to try to find the same thing for my boys...

Mine was a little more complex... it had the technic style beams (long pieces with holes), etc. So, no, this isn't the one, but thanks alot for the suggestion.

That's not it either. Mine had a mostly square motor, and the control box was completely cube-shaped, meaing no rounded parts to it at all. The motor was yellow, and the control box was black. But again, thanks for the suggestion; I really appreciate the help. We'll figure it out yet!

It's 744. I spent many hours with this one as a kid. Probably my favorite set at the time.
