Hi!

I am looking for somebody that has the 1st book of the Holiday Train Instructions. I was wondering if they could scan the pages for the passenger car for me. I am looking at the PDF provided by LEGO and I cannot make out some of the black pieces.

If anyone could help, that would be great!

Thank you,
Kyle

    Hi Kyle,

I'm sitting here directly under the light fixture in my living room having trouble making out the black pieces in the instructions. I'm not sure that scanning them is practical.

I scanned one page, I think you'd be able to make out the pictures but it ended up a 20MB file. It took me 5 minutes to scan and it failed to be attached to this post when I tried to upload it. I don't think I can manage to send you 22 20MB files when my internet access is through my cell phone at about 100kb a minute (3 1/2 hours a page until my carrier has a fit and downgrades my access, then longer).

Do you have particular questions I can answer verbally for you? If that won't work and no one else comes to your rescue I can set aside some time and scan and copy them to a CD and mail it to you.

Let me know what you think will work,

    Jenni

i had the same problem with batcave, i just ended up winging it and it came out okay but i have a couple extra pieces :S,
I found after i tried a little i could make most of them out, although it is no picnic with those cache pdfs. Instructions now are much more clear

Adventures in building the Emerald Night as well with the different shades....
I swear sometimes a black part is shown lighter because they want to ensure you see the piece they want used next.

    Hey guys,

Thank you for the responses. Last night I put together my BrickLink Want List for the passenger car based off of the PDF and placed a few orders. I think I was able to get squared away. I'll let you know as the pieces I ordered trickle in :)

Thank you for your help! I appreciate it!

@Jenni thank you for taking the time to look them over and try a couple of scans. If you are having a tough time with the phyiscal instructions, I'm guessing it wasn't just the PDF copies LEGO has available. As I'm building I'll shoot you a PM if I have any questions :)

No problem. This is one of those sets of instructions where I'm really glad they tell you which pieces you need for each step. Haven't put it together yet, it's a Christmas present for my daughter that she'll probably get early so that it can be on display for the season, but I'll let you know if I come across anything that could be helpful for you to know. Best of luck getting all your pieces.
