Not that that will happen, without a considerable amount of reworking on the magnets. Still, it would be lovely to get an M:TRON nod in a set at some point, like Blacktron did in one of the Lego Movie sets.
Also, Blacktron.
Would love some return of the magnets (and gorgeous MTron red) but perhaps Lego decided that they already produce a toy with the ability to connect together, so anything a magnet could do they could reproduce more cheaply.
I would like another round of M-Tron but would prefer Ice Planet even more.
2. Power Miners.
3. HERO Factory.
4. Rock Raiders.
5. Aqua Raiders.
6. Atlantis.
7. Res-Q.
8. Life On Mars & Mars Mission.
9. Exploriens & Insectoids.
10. Adventurers!
There's a lot of info regarding children eating magnets which may have put Lego off.
You all remember it, the line with the huge display pieces.
Not the play sets, not the collection of previous sets, the sets that were so big that the mini figures were a bonus, not the selling point.
(Also Harry Potter for my girls)
YES WORLD RACERS!!!!!
Do you mean this one? Saw it at Virginia Brickfair...btw, I second the Robin Hood/Foresters sets
Blacktron 1 and Space Police 1. Also Forestmen and Wild West, which I think never really reached their full potential.
However, if you ask me about LICENSED themes, there's really only one answer I can give: Avatar: The Last Airbender. A fantastic TV show like that didn't deserve such a mediocre theme, and if there were any way at all that that theme could get a new lease on life, I'd love for it to happen!
-adventurers with temples n stuff. no need to licence for indiana jones
-PIRATES with an heavy emphasis on islanders, voodoo, skulls and things
-minitalia or world city or something advanced models (a theme without play features only for display in minifig scale)
needs to have foliage, modular brickbuilt roads, railway stations, extra train carriages, harbors, an "emerald night"-like train, train engine sheds, level crossings ...
Outside of the city line though you'd have to insert a narrative for the theme which brings us back to good guys vs bad guys...
That's the business model that saved them from trouble before though so perhaps they know what they're doing on that front!
Of course, Sam Sinister is a staple. Perhaps it would be cool to bring back some additional classic Adventurers villains.
While Egypt has been done already and Pharaoh's Quest took a stab at it again, I think an Adventurers reboot should go back to Egypt. Maybe make the adventure go more places than just the desert - like to a library or a museum or even another archeological site that eventually connects back to the main dig. Add vehicles - lots of vehicles. Old-style jeeps with the touch of modern bricks, planes and biplanes and gliders and hot air balloons and zeppelins and rafts and steamboats and everything. Add artifacts everywhere, connect the sets with those kinds of details, and you'll have me standing in pure awe in the Lego aisle.
If we're going to go over the rails while we're at it, app integration like Nexo Knights could be fun. It would add a lot of textured bricks and symbol-ridden pieces are great for storylines, decorations, etc.
Now if I were in charge (and this is where I'm going off the rails on my crazy Johnny Thunder train), I would want a full-on Lego Adventurers movie, plus a six-year or seven-year storyline like Ninjago.
But at the least, another wave of sets would be just fine for me :)
I missed out on Vikings, and I'd always love some proper pirates (not the crap we got last year).
I'd love be to see a theme aligned with Crimson Skies (old PC/Xbox game). Massive dirigible massive bases and dog fighting with alternative history planes circa 1930-40's.
Another round of Alien Conquest sets could be cool. Give them some new types of aliens to fight.
I'd also love a classic castle theme with updates of the old factions (Black Falcon, Black Monarch/Dragon knights, Forestmen).
