Can we talk about this model?

So so bad.  What, exactly, are the 1x1 white tiles with eyelashes supposed to represent?

Didn't think they could make the pick-a-model concept even worse, but they managed to slide in under my already bottom-of-the-barrel expectations.

Breathtakingly terrible model.

Think the white tiles are the new Lady Liberty bikini? :)

maybe pieces are good. I haven't seen a sand green brick with 2 studs on side before or a sand green telescope

Too bad it looks like its a New York exclusive as there are some nice parts in there.

I don't think I would've guessed what it was meant to be if not for the colour...

Wonderful pieces. I'll be making a trip to the store if they come to the UK PAB walls.

No, #3850009-1 and #3850010-1 are new for April, at least where I am at in CO.  There are pictures in the Pick a brick thread in the Shopping UK boards.

Is this on sale now in New York or is it an early grab of the next quarter build?
Model looks a bit lame but those elements! Is the base Dark Tan or Nougat?

@Kevin_Hyatt The page for it, #3850011-1 has a note that its available in New York brand stores, so sounds like its exclusive to New York.

Both the sand green telescope and the 1x1 with studs on both sides are both listed on bricks and pieces, unfortunately the 1x1 is also listed as sold out.

Yes, it's available in NY stores now. Someone there sent me the picture.

While on the subject, does anyone have the elephant and jet, models 7 and 8, and can send me pictures?

I like those 1x2 tiles.  I will be filling up a few PaB cups with those.

I talked to my local store and was told that it is a New York exclusive model. I'm hoping they can get the pieces in for the other spots on the PAB wall. Or at least the sand green pieces.

    I'm aggravated that there isn't a 1x2.  Or a 1x4 brick.  Come on!

    Thanks, but no thanks!

Just wondering, does anyone here know if these parts are available yet in the Victor NY store?
  • SumoLegoSumoLego Member Posts: 15,229
I was going to head there this weekend.  Or you can just call the store.

I am struggling to imagine a worse possible representation of the Statue of Liberty. That said, I'd fill a PAB cup with those sand green pieces.

From cptnruthless over at BrickLink: Maybe it's a minionized version?

So far, its the only reasonable explanation of this model that I've seen.

    Hmmm, subversive licensing infringement.

    Or apparently, everything needs eyes.

Just checked and the elements are not available on the UK store 'buy list'. Would have loved a few cups o each if those!
    Sad face :(

Paid a visit to my "local" store today- "New York" means "New York City". Anybody in NYC willing to sell me a few cups of parts?

Looks like ALL of the elements are on the PAB [email protected]

I actually wouldn't mind one of these models for my collection. Anyone?
