FAQ: "You don't have sets from before 1965 in the database. Why is this?"
Prior to around 1965, many products that LEGO produced didn't include bricks as we know them today, and where they did, there were mostly general building sets which included slight variations in brick contents. 'Sets' as we understand them today did not exist in any great quantity. 1965 has been chosen as the 'break point' for coverage on Brickset.
