He could “borrow” yours, right?
EDIT: Just looked further down that thread and realised it is! Not sure whether you changed it before or after that comment though...
@KungFuKenny Your Statuettes look great...now collected all the printed ones too (joking!)
@bandit778 oh thanks for the offer, I'm sure I will end up with one soon. How kind tho x
Thanks!
Apparently I missed all the sets that had the trans Bright green piece. Need to go and find the cheapest one now...
...stumbles back to his cave...
Here is my on-going collection of part 3024, otherwise known as 1x1 plates...
I have 48 of the 56 available in sets, so I'm nearly there with it after (sort of) passively trying to accumulate them... but I've done a bit of research on those last few.
...mostly the ones I'm missing aren't horrifically expensive, I think the most problematic are going to be: very light grey, medium orange, bright green, maersk blue and metallic silver and they mostly seem to be available for under 50p but then there's sand blue, which was only available in #4720 Knockturn Alley and prices start at £2.90 ish.
I know I'm never going to swallow the bitter pill on that. I was only ever intending on collecting ones that had been generally available in sets anyway, but that's probably an end to the journey.
However, if you wanted to be completist about it, it goes a bit crazy for the rare(r) non-production run colours. For example, 'Sand Red' has a sold price of a breath-taking £17... Let's just take that in, about 0.2g of ABS, approx 8mm x 8mm x 4.8mm, one stud, for £17. Seventeen Pounds! SEVENTEEN! That's if you can find any for sale!
When I was a boy, I could have bought #6970 Beta Command base for that much and still had enough change for a handful of Mojos and a copy of 2000AD.
Surely that's the 1x1 round tile?
In general, I tend to get the parts from my collection, though I did BL some of my motorbike and crystal parts previously.
