Bricktastic 2016

SirKevbagsSirKevbags Member Posts: 4,027
If you have missed this on the front page last week or elsewhere then just a little heads up that Bricktastic is coming back in July!

Same venue as last year, Manchester Central but slightly earlier in the year on July 2nd and 3rd. Several well known Bricksetters are scheduled to appear including off the top of my head @Huw, @drdavewatford, @LostInTranslation, @Paperballpark and probably many more. Don't worry we will try and make sure these individuals are clearly marked so you can say hello, or in Jamies case manage to avoid him ;-)

Tickets are on sale now Bricktastic Tickets so get them while they are hot! Great thing about buying early is that when the day comes round, you paid for them so long back it feels like a free day out :-)

Damn, I would have come this year but will be cycling the length of the country that weekend instead! (OK, not all that weekend - some on the days before too).

If you fancy being part of Bricktastic as an exhibitor or volunteer then just fill out this form and get it back to us by April 10th. If you have not done it before then it really is a great experience and could possibly take your hobby to the next level.

We don't have any ios devices to check on, but it would seem not to beour bit of code but the ticket companies. We'll have to get it sorted but in the meantime...

Just a little heads up folks. After many requests we have decided to open an hour early on Sunday morning with capacity limited to 250 people for that first hour. I doubt every exhibitor will be on the floor (well the bedroom one maybe!) by then but their models will be.

This is specifically for people with additional needs, (note the word people and not just children) so they can enjoy a more relaxed environment.

I don't think being an AFOL who wants a better look at stuff counts as an additional need however ;-)

Looking forward to this.  Volunteering for Sat and Sun and look forward to seeing a few friendly Bricksetters there and hopefully not spending too much money.

Dunno why I just noticed but the Fairybricks logo look quite evil to me when rotated

Is that the sound of hundreds of bricksetteers palpatating at that image of a sticker defacing LEGO packaging? Hope they come off without leaving any residue!

Yes, Euros acquired a few weeks ago, luckily, so unless the wife goes mad buying Murano glass we'll hopefully be insulated from currency issues.

Non Facebook fans may have missed these but we have new lines in Fairy Merchandise. Under no circumstances should they be considered tat!

No, they're collectibles.  I think Brickset should be granting Fairy Bricks its own category so we can click 'Own' and 'Want'.  Almost as rare desirable as SDCC stuff if not more than.

Great show today lots of people and some very impressive displays.  I would show photos of the event but my crappy camera phone and being snowed under mounds of Lego for most of the day have prevented me from showing them yet.  I should have better luck tomorrow though.  But get yourself down if you haven't yet as it truly is a great event and flat caps off to @SirKevbags for organising the event.

@legopants how were you still hungry this afternoon after finishing that breakfast? Great to meet you at the show today.  Loved the opening gambit of "Are you BendyBadger?"  made me think how many other people you had asked before approaching me.  Have a safe flight back.

@drdavewatford great to me you at last as well.  I always pictured you as wearing a medical coat all the time so didn't pick you out at first.
@theLEGOman great to meet you again too. Hope the sales went good today as well

apolgies if I did not catch any other bricksetters hope to see you tomorrow.  will be over on the free build tables again no doubt.
