@catwrangler like troy horse! Like that you went for something completely different than the original and I've got a soft spot for history and legends.

Thanks! :) I saw the Wolfgang Petersen film again recently and it's been nagging at me ever since! Now I'm thinking about what else I might build with a mythological bent, and I'm very tempted to have a go at that Sisyphus kinetic model by @JKBrickworks one day...

Here is my 3rd build using #70818 and I will let you know that I found this to be one of the harder sets to rebuild. Contrary to #70805 and #70806, this does not at all follow those lines. After quite some time scratching my head wondering what I can do with many large pieces and a car chassis, I decided to do a parade float. I figured that I would use the smart car as the center as I felt it was an iconic part of the set (Along with me not being able to figure out another use for it). I did however modify the car so that the float could be placed around it.

I found this to be very challenging of a set to rebuild and if you have this set I would be very interested on what others might be able to make from it.

I think that's an ingenious use of a hard-to-modify set!

@Mynatt Might have to give it a go.  I was looking at that wondering what I could do with it as I have two of the double decker couches.  Well done.

Thank you! I really appreciate it!

I would be very interested to see what you will be able to come up with. I found it very hard to use all of the pieces (Except for Uni Kitty's opposite head as I kept it aside during the building process) and its gotta be said, there have been easier alternate builds.

Yes not sure I will come up with anything.  I have yet to post images but I worked with the Nexo Knight Ultimate sets and made little jets out of them.  Was fun as I had never done anything like it.

You do realise that you may have given @Shib another idea for a building contest. Everyone has to see what they can come up with from the same set.

Problem with that is choosing a specific set would likely lead to complaints of "but I don't have that set" ;-)

Loads more people having a go than last month, looks like you will have a harder job this time @Shib !
I have had zero time to build since the first day of the challenge this month, I am hoping that Easter frees up a bit and I can make a couple more last minute entries.  Until then, just a quick 'come on people!' bump.

Here is my fourth entry using all of the pieces (not including spares) from #76029. I present to you a Trilobite. From as late as 250 million years ago, these creatures roamed the Earth. Sorry for the poor quality of the photo as it was not only taken from my phone but also cropped :/ Anyway, I had a lot of fun doing this one! Imagination really took over.

And for having a bit of fun, I present to you The Age of Trilobite:

(I could not get the figures to stay standing for my life so I used stands that were not included in the set)

My MOC was created from #31043 Chopper Transporter. The set comes with 124 pieces, of which I used around 85 or so.

It is based on Galaga! which was my favorite arcade game as a kid.  I wanted a crazy looking cyber insect and a small star fighter.  This proved difficult with the limited amount of parts but this is what I came up with. It's supposed to be a cyber hornet.

I think the side profile does a much better job of showing off it's insect angles.  You can see the wings, the over-sized head, and how the abdomen / stinger area tilts forward. I think it looks much more hornet like here.

And of course the little star fighter tasked with saving us all!

I built this from Neptune Carrier but I excluded the pieces from the manta ray. I don't know if I have to explain what it is, I hope it is obvious enough.

    remaining pieces :

Flippers are kinda hard to assimilate into the model.

there are 2 more pictures below

Thank You @Shib! I really had a lot of fun in this contest and cannot wait to participate in future ones! I must say that there were many impressive builds from many people!

Fingers crossed that this isn't an April Fools joke :)

Now... time for rebuilding some sets...
