DealDash - Is it "Worth It?"

I know this site existed for a little while and I found a huge variety of things from jewelry, to household items, to Lego. I've saw quite a lot of new, normally expensive sets show up on there (like, in about a half-hour there's gonna be an auction for the Helicarrier). It seems to give the illusion of being cheap but I doubt it. The cost of the bids pile up really quickly, and when those bids are on sale it'll probably just increase demand anyways. You don't even get them back if you lose, which appears to be likely. Has anyone tried this and got any good deals from it?

While it is technically not a scam,it states directly in their own fine print:

"By registering and using DealDash you understand that you are likely to spend more money than you may receive in product value. Most customers using the site lose money. DealDash pays out on average between 70% to 90% of the money spent by customers back through product value.
DealDash is convinced that the entertainment value of participating in its auctions is well worth any money spent on the site even in the event of possible losses. By using the service you understand and agree to this statement."

It is explained in detail here -

If that sounds like a deal to you then go right ahead & sign up.

Sounds like the gambling as entertainment value argument.
