Do I earn VIP points when paying with VIP points?

xpokxpok Member Posts: 31
Hello.
I cant find answer to that question.
I plan to buy Firehouse.
I got half its price in VIP points and I wonder if I would get any points when I pay half with cash half with VIP.
If i get 0 points I will wait for double points, buy Firehouse then and points will be spend on smaller sets.

Thanks for answers in advacne.

From what I remember, you don't get VIP points for the value of the points you use, but you would do for the cash element.

I'm pretty sure whenever you use vip points. Even a dollar. You don't get any points

I accumulate points during 2x periods and spend them when there are good polybag promos for maximum efficiency.

    right.
if you buy GBHQ (will use the uk price as i know that one off the top of my head.)
£274.99 if you have half of that in VIP points ( let say £125 in VIP points. )
that will leave you with £149.99 left to pay.
this number (£149.99) is what you will get New VIP points on so you will get 149.99 points from this order.

You only get vip points for the actual money you spend.

@chrisalddin is exactly right with his calculation but this is a hugely important point. Never spend vip points during a double points event. The fact you don't gather vip points when you spend them means you miss out on points as a consequence of spending them then.

there is but 1 and only 1 reason to spend VIP Points during a double points event.
and that Reason is that you are out of cash, and the only way you can get said item is to use the VIP points. and you would have got said item later with the VIP points anyway. so you at least get the bonus points.
i no longer have a credit card. so there is no, oh i just dump it on the card.
i tend to spend to my limit. with a credit card, this is a bad thing, good for the bank, but bad for me.

You might as well wait until a better promo is on if you are using points, unless urgency is required.

Sorry mate, but if you can't afford a set in cash, you shouldn't be spending cash/credit/points on it period.  Budget better.

    said badly.
what i was trying to say, is that i well have the right level of cash to pay for it after the VIP discount is used.
