The next modular building?

Does anyone know what the next modular will be? I've seen a comment that it could be a town hall. Is there a release date yet? I was very happy this year with an early release for the Pet shop.

I saw on YouTube that there will also be a mini modular with all 5 buildings as one model.

Since we didn't get the Pet Shop until June(i think) the next Modular wont be out until same time in 2012, if not a little later. Lego has seem to put them out 1 year exactly from one another, for the most part. So any concrete info on the next set typically won't be until March.

image^^ Is that really 150 quid for the Town Hall? Because this means it's going to be the first modular to break the $149.99 ceiling.

@cavegod any idea about the b-wing?
  • streekerstreeker Member Posts: 299
The Town Hall will also have the highest piece count by at least 500 bricks. The price increase makes more sense now. Really excited!

I wouldn't have thought so - not with that piece count vs price.

No info on B-wing yet. I suspect that info. will be released later next year with a product release in the fall - just my opinion.

^^ I think it's more likely to be $189.99 or $199.99 based on the piece count and the expected MSRP of 149.99 GBP

Plus put into the affect of inflation and the next Modular will probably cost 179.99 if it has close to 3000 pieces.

$179 or even $199 for a 2,700 part count modular sounds right to me. Sure, would I love $149, yes... But that isn't reasonable... Lego probably knows they can charge $199 all day long.

The math works out to around $199 based on Price per Piece of the Pet Shop.

^ Yep, the 5 modulars all come out to about 7 cents per piece, which would make this around $194 ~ if what we read turns out true.

Maybe they'll round down and sell it for $189.99 ;)

I think they might stick to as close as the normal price of 149.99 as they can. Originally Cafe Corner was only 139.99, so maybe 159.99 or maybe 169.99. Anymore than that and Lego may think the New Modular won't move as well. Of course we all know WE will buy the set regardless, but their will still be plenty of complaining about the price, heh.

Thanks cavegod - how chuffed am I today? And an early release too!! If the last one was June - that makes it 9 months - is it too much to hope for an extra one to be released for xmas time!? Just a thought Mr Berard.................
