Would you make this trade?

I'm a castle fan and a person locally is selling a boxed Medieval Market Village and I don't have the money to pay for it but was considering offering a trade which would be complete Black Seas Barracuda (6285) and the Caribbean Clipper (6274) both sets are complete (and a bit dusty) but without the instructions I have the boxes too. I'm not a huge Pirate Lego fan but bought them and their accompanying forts for a good price (again locally). In other words does that seem like a fair trade, should I just offer the Baracuda? Please also note I'd be building the MMV too. (so it would be opened).

Look at Ebay and BL and compare prices.

Are you willing to go through selling the sets you have to get the money to buy the stuff you want? If not, I'd go for the trade based on what you paid for them. If you got them for less than what you would have had to pay for the set you do want, then it is a good enough deal. Value wise, it is probably in the other person's favour but if you got them cheap and don't want them, then it's not so bad.

Since you didn't pay the earth for the ships and you're not much into the Pirate range, I'd say go for it. I bought the MMV in the marketplace here on the forums last year and I love it to death; if you're a Castle fan then you're going to love all the little architectural details and items that help bring that world to richer life.
