What themes would you like to see Lego remake?

If there is already a thread for this, please let me know :) Anyways,  I would love to see them continue with the Lord of the Rings! There's so much they haven't done yet! :)

Probably Prince of Persia. Loads of nice minifig parts, animals and tan bricks. And all at 50-60% off as no-one wants them.

I'd like western but after megaflop lone ranger reckon it'll be a while. Maybe nexo-rangers in three years time!

Western and Adventurers. Lone Ranger sets were decent, but the movie flopped and so we won't see any cowboys for a while. Pharaohs Quest was a cool continuation on the Adventurers theme, but it only get on wave compared to Adventurers many years!

My immediate thought is to suggest a classic theme like Blacktron, but I wasn't too interested in anything that was done with the third range of Space Police, so I wouldn't want a repeat of something like that. Instead, I think a theme like Ice Planet 2002 could benefit from some revisiting, as it seems like environmental details get more attention these days, and environments are something that's lacking from most classic space themes.

    Also, more Harry Potter please.

Classic Space (or even futuron sub theme would be fine), Space Police I/Blacktron I (I miss the SP1 and Blacktron 1 color schemes), Robin Hood subtheme from Castle.

    +1 for Classic Space
I'd also like to see them resurrect Pharaoh's Quest (see what I did there), but it's not likely, of course. I haven't got any of them myself, but it looks like an interesting theme.

Pharaoh's Quest was a pretty good theme. Not a bad one for parts, either.

I'm actually very tempted to start collecting them, but I'd definitely want the main pyramid set and I'm not quite ready to drop around £100 on it... I do have a bit of an itch though! ;-)

Those Pharaoh Quest pyramids could be found at Targets for 50% off and still no one was buying them then. Now they are near 100 USD I think on eBay. I think it is a nice line for those 'jonesing' for something like the Indy line.

I just recently completed the PQ theme (main sets, at least), having found a super cheap pyramid set locally. All really cool sets, and other than the big pyramid are not too expensive on the after market.

I'd really like Adventurers to come back too - there's so many different things you can do with a pulp adventure theme. I mean, I don't know if that actually creates a marketing problem for TLG in terms of the connection in kids' minds between different years' waves being too loose (I mean, I'm just guessing here, but is that why it ended in the first place, or did they get Indiana Jones around that time?), but looking back at the Adventurers themes I never knew about at the time (I'm gutted that I missed the one set in the Himalayas!!) I'm really hungry for more.

I can think of fright knights or dragon masters. we've had many dragon soldiers in the last castle waves, but the emphasis was always on the lion knights. well, at least for once in a while the bad guys gets the big fortress in nexo knights.

adventurers is a nice idea for exploring exotic settings, though I guess ninjago already took care of the most obvious asian settings as well as the jungle.

I think Ninjago may have taken over the "exotic lands" aspect of Adventurers from the Indiana Jones license--which did begin about the time the last "straight" Adventurers theme retired. More or less, anyway.

    Haha it's a minor detail.

I'm most annoyed by lack of different action themes at all. Ninjago, Nexo Knights, and Chima are all good themes, but by having two going at a time, and at a minimum of three years long, seems to leave less opportunity for unique, shorter themes. Power Miners, Aqua Raiders, Pharaohs Quest, etc. Never lasted too long (around a year), so if you didn't like it, you knew something new was coming next year. With the current action themes, you have to endure.

    ... now I'm just ranting.

I would like the Harbor City subtheme from the early 90s. I know the harbour already had its revival a few times but the coolest and most detailed one was the first release in '90/'91.

^Oh dear. I can just imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth... ;-)

I have to say that my views on re-releasing the modulars and the Winter Village line are totally different.
I would love to see some of the earlier WV sets re-released, as they are more limited in the types of set that can be released in that theme, IMHO. For example, the rumours are that the 2017 set is going to be a new, non-release Christmas Train, which has been done before. That said, I'm sure there are still quite a few new ideas in the pipeline.
For the modulars, there is massive scope for different buildings. For example, they don't need to re-release Grand Emporium, but they can produce a totally new department store. There is a Fire Station, but no Police Station. Look down your own High Street for the possibilities: Opticians, Book Shops, Pharmacies, etc. Any number of ideas that would fit the time of the theme.
I would love to see new, updated Green Grocer and Cafe Corner *style* modulars though and a pub, but doubt we'd get one of those! ;-)

i would be ok with modular "re-hashes". as long as they stay the same size + are goin to have neat interiors!

Harry Potter. There's a new film; there's a new set of kids to sell to as the books are always popular; it would sell like cream cakes and if it got the Simpsons treatment of two huge sets and two lots of CMF TLG would be quids in.

And my 8y old would be delighted.

Well, be prepared for large price increases, to keep the size the same, as well as having complex interiors!

I'd like to see a "realistic" Castle theme, like the classic castles of the 80s, only bigger and using better building techniques. I'd extra love it if there was one or two "big" castles to buy, but they had the ability to add on extra modules to make them bigger, like the Helm's Deep set had. I'd like a castle that's predominantly one colour. There can still be magic and fantasy and dragons and all that, but the buildings should be reality-flavoured.

    Monster Fighters!!!
Pharaoh's Quest would be nice, but some other "ancient" theme would be even nicer.
    LOTR was definitely too short.

I know they didn't move very well, but I would like to see them give Galaxy Squad another go; the models and colors were (in most cases) brilliant, and I'd like to see a wider variety of elements in those colors.

I'd definitely love to see some Classic Space again, another Adventures theme would be enjoyed by me if no one else. I really love the Lord of the Rings books and movies and I think the Lego lord of the rings theme was a total lost opportunity with the majority of the sets, I defenitly want to see another go at that but it probably will be awhile before that happens

FOR REAL. Nexo-Rangers with new hats, sets, I could go on and on. That would be a theme I would buy.

I agree. GS was great yet people still want classic space. I think with GS they've done the Space fantasy line for a while now.

I'm not so sure. The danger with an associated CMF series is that people don't need to buy the bigger sets. Quite a few people collected the Simpsons without buying the sets. I guess also there is the problem of do they make new versions of characters or just rehash what they've done before.

Galaxy Squad was a fantastic space series. The colours and designs were everything I could want, and the insects reminded me just enough of Insectoids. Not sure why they sold so poorly...

I would really like another underwater theme, like Aquazone. But seeing as Aquaraiders and Atlantis have come and gone, I'm sure we will see another run one day.

Same here. It came out at a time when I felt I couldn't quite justify buying Lego (whhhhhhyyyyy), and I only picked up one set when a local toyshop was discounting. Been kicking myself ever since!

Well before there were not really a lot of LEGO molds for animals, now there are, and the rumored penguins in the next CMF make it easier... I think they could do it, but not sure how much it would cost.

For me it's not so much bringing back a theme but more bringing back a style I like. I'd really like it if they would release more house sets like #5891 Apple Tree House and #4956 House in the Creater. I'd love some bigger houses like these. I know they did #31012 Family House a couple years ago but I wasn't a huge fan of the style. Most of my parts collection recently is for bricks so I can MOC my own houses the way I like.

I would love an updated forestmen theme. Like the forestmen and elves from LOTR in sets against orcs. I loved the viking, monster fighters and galaxy squad. I collected all of the viking sets, but I never expected to collect the other 2. They were great themes with great parts and builds. If you like a Lego theme, it really is a better value than the licensed themes.

It's just my opinion, but while the sets were well-designed, the theme was a little lopsided.  Too many ground vehicles, not enough fliers, and no Command Outpost or Launch Base or whatever.

I cut my teeth on Adventurers, so I'd love to see that come back. Indiana Jones was an good replacement, but it didn't last long and had the same limits as any IP-based theme (limited content, limited interest). I'm also relatively unique in not being much of a fan of Pharaoh's Quest - a lot of it was in the style of Adventurers, but I'm just not a massive fan of huge monsters as the bad guys in every theme.

You're not wrong. Also, the red team only got teeny tiny vehicles included in sets where the insects were the focal point. Doesn't really look good when the others have big to huge vehicles!

I'll have Classic Space or LOTR back in a heartbeat. Failing that, Trains as an actual line again with a large range of vehicles/accessories it used to be rather than just 1/2 sets a year in City.
