LEGO Pick A Brick availability checker

i would love to build some of the older sets but cant quite afford the aftermarket prices. so i have to wait til lego sells them again. in the case of the sand green 1x8 brick it would be 45€/~180€.

at which point is lego going to reproduce sand green bricks again and sell them via Pick A Brick.
in 1 year or more like 5 years?
would love to get an email the second they sell sand green 1x8.

PaB does not really have a rhyme of reason as to what appears that is in production. Parts direct may, but in either case, LEGO will only have them available only if they are in a produced LEGO set. That could be 6 months from now, or 5 years from now.

It's worth bearing in mind that out-of-production pieces fall into two categories.

First, there are things like Sand Green 1 x 8 bricks. It might be uncommon now, but that could change tomorrow. There are always likely to be bricks that shape; producing one in a different colour is relatively trivial if it's needed for a new set.

Then there are things like the 1 x 2 x 3 Wall Elements that are sought for the Cafe Corner windows. There's now a new mould, for a stronger part, that's presumably deemed to be "better". The old moulds are likely to have been run to the end of the serviceable life and retired, or even destroyed. It's unlikely that there are ever going to be any more pieces like that.
