Sellers beware, @Matthismcfly is out for revenge at being blocked from here, and has tried to make a fraudulent purchase with fraudulent feedback from my Bricklink store.

He is going by the username of Camille Cavallier, and claims that the minifigures I sent him (from an order he made minutes before the feedback was left) were in bad condition. I would block this account immediately.

    Shame on you, man.

Make sure to reply to that feedback to explain it.

That one also should be easily removed. It doesn't take much for BL to notice that the order was placed and complaint feedback left mere minutes later. I'd also warn the forums on Bricklink about him.

    Some people are so petty.

Edit: Also, looks like the username is Starwars223? I don't see Camille Cavallier anywhere.

I think it is time I took the plunge and sell off some of my extra minifigs.  My store is now open at http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=Nitescar

Not nearly the inventory that most of the folks on here have though I'm sure.

Too bad international postage from the US is so high - I have 2 medium azure bike frames and 4 clear wheel/black tire combos

I have a quick bricklink question that doesn't need it's own thread. I made a bricklink order and decided 10 mins later that I needed more stuff from them, so I sent a quote request for the extra pieces, referencing the order number placed as I didn't see a way to add to a placed order.

I got a quote based on a whole new order, new shipping charge as a whole new order etc. I sent an email to the seller explaining again why I wanted to add to the order (hoping to add a few Euros to the postage rather than a whole new 9 Euro postal charge ) and they're fine with it but told me to modify my order placed. Is it possible? If so can someone tell me how? The original order status is "pending".
  • MeadleMeadle Member Posts: 84

just place an order for the extra parts with the same seller. So long as it is at pending bricklink will add them together (some other statuses work as well)

  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,556
I'm not sure you can do that via a quote.
But if you add tge parts to your cart then checkout as normal, you get the option to add to your original order.
  • graphitegraphite Member Posts: 3,275
It doesn't give you the option, it will just append it as long as the order is still in the Pending, Processing or Ready states.  When you place the second order you'll see on the confirmation page it say "Updated order #XXXXXXX" or something like that instead of "Placed order #XXXXXXX".

If the first order is Paid, Packed, Shipped etc, it will automatically place a new order.

Very helpful Meadle, CCC and Graphite. I did as per your advice and it added my stuff to the original order as a second batch - did not know Bricklink worked like that!

    Thanks everyone!
  • monkeyhangermonkeyhanger Member Posts: 3,170
Just had the invoice through, i needn't have bothered, my shipping doubled anyway for increasing my original order by just over half again - I assume that the size of the order crossed some shipping threshold.

Not sure if I would call it a bug but if you have an open order and a quote and then the quote is accepted, BL create a new order instead of updating the open order.
It is a rather unusual situation, happened to me only once.

@SprinkleOtter , I think @monkeyhanger is in Europe, not having to deal with USPS :)

As a seller, I've gotten orders with up to 4 batches. As a buyer, I haven't felt the need to do so, but it's good to know the option is out there. Often I learn about one side of the site from using the other.

Still working through my pile of used parts to list. Slowly. I've already sorted by color. But then I have to sort by piece type and list each. I've done all of the orange and some other rare colors, most of the black, and I've just started on the white.  I have a huge amount of bley, some reddish brown and handfuls of other colors.

Okay, I have a few questions as a new BL store owner.

What the heck is a "Drive Thru" and what would I use it for?

Is onsite payment free? What are its benefits?
  • samiam391samiam391 Member Posts: 4,506
"Drive Thru" is essentially a generic "your item has shipped" message that you can send to your buyer after you have marked the item as shipped. As a buyer, I like to have it sent to me for my records. If you click on it, you can read through the "Drive Thru" message and then (if you want) send it to your buyer.

Onsite payment, in my opinion, is pretty pointless.
