Replacement part turn-around time?

I have two kits I've built in the last two weeks that have been missing parts, and I've submitted the missing parts request to the Lego Group via their website.  Do any of you have experience with this?  can you give me an idea of how long it takes to get the parts?

    I have  never gotten a part going through  the site.  I just  email  them with the following  details;
    Part number from instructions
    Proof of purchase  (a code on the bottom right back page of the instructions )
    My address  to send the part.
    They usually  contact  me saying  it is on its way.

    Provided it's not a restricted part (licensed figure, dimensions base, sticker sheet....) it's 7-10 business days. If it's restricted they will contact you asking for a code from the back of the instructions, or to send them a picture with a code they give you. Which will take a little longer.

    I just called in for a couple of missing parts from the Brick Bank, and I was told 7-10 days. Based on my previous experiences with them I think this is pretty accurate.

    Not sure how true it is, but according to just2good in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4AEJlseV2c), he says you can now get some licensed figure parts from Bricks and Pieces (when they open back up).

    ^ @ricecake that's true but LEGO restricts some of the parts and you can't order them. Just had a problem with R2-D2 head from set 75038 and when you go online to order a replacement it not listed. So some pieces are available to buy some are not.
