What is Level 3?

LusiferSamLusiferSam Member Posts: 572
So I get the notification that I was promoted to level 3.  What is level 3?  Or levels 1 and 2?

Well...I'm 'Level 4'...whatever the heck that means! I noticed in another thread that some people had stars by their names to represent their level. Maybe it's calculated by likes/post, or posts/month or year or time on the forum or something? Anyway, it's probably an experimental feature Huw is trialling or maybe enabled by mistake, given that there was no announcement (that I saw)!

It's most likely another, new feature of "vanilla forums" which is the platform for Brickset forums. Occasionally, they change the format of the forums and these little changes come with it... for example, "points", "likes", "promotes", etc.

Yeah but these forums go all the way up to 11.

It might be so that level 0 members (new) cannot post links, to cut down on spam. I've seen similar on another forum.

All of us have a bit of number 2 inside us...for a while.

Is it just me, or are both of those articles completely useless?
  • LeeLee Member Posts: 138
Yeah well I tried. I'm very trying ya know!

I didn't mean to be critical of your effort.  I just don't get why they would post an article w/o any useful information.

In the blog, he probably just means "it's flexible, set it up how you like, there are settings you can change".

The other one is a forum post and answer, and as we know there can be lots of crap on a forum.
