I don't think large Technic sets go on sale very often. Sold and shipped by Amazon, so it's Prime-eligible.

They are price matching someone, target maybe?

I got one in target yesterday, did it mostly so that I could get the money out of the Lego gift cards we picked up last week. In theory they were offering free shipping, but once I added 4 gift cards, they charged me for shipping

@DavidRod8 - do you have a Target RedCard? You get free shipping on just about everything with it, plus 5% off.

If you don't have one, get one, they are free and a great deal.

Also, for the Target RedCard, it does not have to be a credit card. You can get either the credit card OR a Target Red "Debit Card." You just link it to your checking account, and it pulls the money from your existing checking account in a day or two.

All the same benefits as the regular credit card.

Isn't the RedCard a credit card?
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
    Yes and no...

They have a RedCard Credit Card, and a RedCard Debit card

The Credit Card works, just like you think it would

The Debit card takes the money right out of your checking account, but still gives you free shipping and 5% off, so if you can't get approved for the credit card, or (like me) spend more than your credit card limit, use a debt card. :)

The 5% off also stacks with deals like the current $7 off a $70 online order. So buy something for just over $70, and get $10.50 off which is 15%, plus free shipping. Code can be used over and over...

The REDCard is any one of the following:

    Target Card (Credit)
    Target Visa (Credit)
    Target Debit Card

This link shows you more information, and how to apply for the cards: https://redcard.target.com/redcard/content/rcw_tck_application

Toward the top of the page, the pre-selected card is the Target Credit Card, but right next to that, there will be a grayed-out image. If you click on that, you will see details for the Target Debit Card.
