Did anyone get a spare? I didn't manage to find one, and I was supposed to be getting one for @LukeSkywalker too. If you can help, please send me a message,
Thanks!

I have up to 10 extra of set #1 (perfect boxes) that I am willing to do a one-for-one trade for set #2, if you would be willing to pay shipping both ways. I am in the USA.

@LegoFanTexas Does anything in my store grab your fancy?

I have two Holiday #2 sets, and would like to trade for a Holiday #1 set (I give holiday #2, you give Holiday #1). We could each pay shipping for our own set. Anyone who is open to this trade, let me know.

I don't have a spare #1 set I'm afraid. Does anything in my store take your fancy @LegoFanTexas @andystar @kwilder that you'd trade for instead?

Sucks I didn't realize people would be wanting set 1 since they were on sale for 10 bucks at the lego stores during black friday. Dunno if they still have them? I'll check my local store maybe I can help someone out.
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
I asked my store, but they were out before I got there on Friday. Bummer, because I only have three #1 sets, but I've got over twice that in #2 sets and should have more coming from Lego.com orders next week.

I figure someone will want them. ;)

Anyone know if these are absolutely sold out, forever? Or is there a chance they will pop back up during a December promotion, or even directly for sale at the Lego stores like the first set was?
  • yys4uyys4u Member Posts: 1,093
How did everyone get multiples of these set 2s? Lol did you just make multiple 100 dollar purchases??
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
yep... I should end up with about 16 of them if all my [email protected] orders get filled... ;)

As an aside, did anyone notice how Pissed Off Santa looks in this set? It's the combination of his furrowed eyebrows and the way his mustache droops dourly, but he's just NOT a Happy Kringle. It's like "Who the $&@# peed in my glass of milk!?"
I'd be worried for whatever Lego Kids are on the Naughty List this year. Santa's bringing a beatdown instead of coal!! :-D

That's so funny, the first thing my wife said was "what's santa's problem..?"
  • pcironepcirone Member Posts: 346
I just realised I have way more set #1 then set #2.. if anyone is lopsided the other way around and wants to do a swap I am game, but it would have to be for say 5 or 10 (or more) at a time or something, the shipping kills it when it's one at a time.

I'm thinking maybe it's the dad dressed up as Santa and he's ticked the kid in Set#1 is still awake and snooping around the tree at 3:00AM. :-D

I also have 10 extra of set 1 that I would like to trade even-up with someone else in the USA for set 2. If you are outside of the USA, I would also happily trade if perhaps you could kick in a few bucks for shipping.

@LegoFanTexas, are you up to trade a few?

I'd like to buy one of the Set #1. anyone willing to give me a price (shipping included)? Or I can trade for some polybags too. I can send a list of polys (excluding the ones that were $0.30 at Target a few weeks ago - everyone got those, I think!)

^ Maybe he's not Santa, but St Nick (Saint Nicholas)? Santa seems to be always depicted as a jolly fellow, while St Nick seems to be a bit more gruff...

I would also like set 2; I don't have any extra of 1, but I would be willing to trade 7941 Prison Carriage Rescue or 8076 Deep Sea Striker.

@gruetzmacherd or anyone else, I have about 6 holiday set #2's that I'm looking to trade 1:1 for holidays set #1's. I'm located in California. Let me know if you're interested.

Anyone want to trade poly bags for #2 holiday set?

I have decided I would rather just trade them out rather than try and get complete sets.

I do have two complete sets, of both 1 and 2 that I would trade for something good.

Mostly looking to grow my poly bag collection, if interested shoot me a pm with what you have to offer, or a link to your bricklink store.

My trade request was answered. Thanks everyone!

My store in Sunrise, FL had two piles of sets #1 and #2 in stock for $9.99 each. Last week they did not had any of the #1, so I believe they've got a shipment today. Finally grabbed #1 for my collection. If these last to Dec. 26th, they'll probably be on sale for 50% off.

@Matthew. How did you get on with finding the second set? I have a extra set #2 and not knowing what to do with it (but wanting to find it a good home - hopefully joined up to a set #1) have finally stopped lurking and joined both Brickset & the forums. I'm in London.

Anyone in the UK with a spare Christmas set #2 that they could send my way? I'm in Ireland, I'd be happy to trade with someone further away but I'm concerned with the heavier post during the run-up to Christmas and that it could take alot longer to arrive.

Renewed appeal for set #2, anyone got a spare set? I'd like to get one without having to resort to ebay or bricklink and the horrendous postal charges quoted. I don't mind if the box gets damaged in the post, a simple brown wrapping would do for packaging, I only want to open it straight away anyway and set it up next to the first set, to display in time for Christmas. :)

I have one on bricklink, I'm willing to discount a bit, but not much to be honest, as I think this set is so lovely it's got potential to be worth so much more. But shipping to Ireland will be about 2 quid.

Just to say thanks to @XR2, who provided me with a perfect condition set 2. Thanks again!

Don't forget to check your LEGO stores if you still need one. The sets are still available in a lot of stores for $9.99.

Also I know you can also buy Set 2 if they are in stock for the same price. I know because they accidentally didn't come up free with my purchase and the cashier had to refund that amount from the receipt. The question is, are they in stock at local LEGO stores? If you're looking for that set and can't find it, I'll trade.

    Dan,
Hold on to your set 2 for me. Ive got set 1 for you if you want to trade at our next LUG meeting which is the 21st of January in Queens. Let me know if this works out for you.
