The engines on the SW:TFA X-Wing

The four engines (the back parts with the clear red at the end. the last part you build in the set) are each held on by that red technic piece that goes into the 2x1 brick with the technic cross in it. But due to the piece that holds the rubber bands, the red technic piece can't go all the way in. So the engines are not that secure. And if you snap the wings shut then sometimes an engine falls off. Is that how it's supposed to work? I double checked the box and instructions and that looks like how it's supposed to be. Does anyone else have this problem?

Yep and they fall off all the time. And the cockpit doesn't shut properly on mine. I think there is a fix somewhere but never looked for it. But some should have spotted it before making the set.

Lego will replace that cockpit with the new style that closes all the way.

@Dtrimpi87Thanks I did not know that. I will have to contact Lego then.
