Displaying vehicles at height

I typically collect all the licence minifigures but for the last year I have branched out into collecting sets. I have a Harry Potter cabinet which didn't create any issues however I have recently purchased another cabinet in wanted to put my favourite sets from other themes.

My issue is how to display planes/snowspeeders at a height above the level of the shelf (approx. 20cm), I first thought about string but I know that would be messy. So I really need your help if you have any tips on how to display these types of vehicles I would really appreciate it.

You could create stands that utilize clear pieces.  A set that has this function if you want to see how to do it is 7962. (look at the "more images" tab and some of the lower pictures show the podracers on the stands).

If you can hang them use the old model makers trick of using fine fishing tackle.

I find FlightPose stands to be practically perfect (see www.flightpose.com). They are available in three different sizes / heights, but various length rods can be combined for angled posing.
