Double VIP points Dec 12 & 13

Just got a notice that Lego is having double VIP points today and tomorrow, which raised a question.  How often does Lego run double VIP points deals?  I have an item or two on my list, but if I don't buy them this weekend and wait for another double VIP point offer, how long will it likely be?

There was more double points promotions this year but it will most likely be in March-April.

OK, thanks.  I had a feeling it was not too often I saw double points e-mails, but I don't keep track of it, and have not really been spurred to buy something on a VIP double points offer.  However, I did take advantage of it in November the Saturday before Thanksgiving to get the double points and the gingerbread house. 

I'm thinking this might be a good time to get the death star.  Double points means 10% off the price and I don't know where you can get that anywhere else in the USA.
