Light up Millennium Falcon

I threw this together the other night. Thought it looked pretty cool. Has anyone else lit theirs up or installed a lighting kit?

Love this idea! If you want to go non-purist a string LED would work pretty well since it's a tube.

Nice job, I haven't seen this done on a smaller scale Falcon before, probably due to the space constraints with the added lighting stuff.
I did see something similar done by some members of EB to the #10179  to great effect but even they had trouble fitting in wires batteries etc.
Would be interested to see where you have routed and placed bits on the inside and what mods you had to make to accommodate it all.

@bandit778 If you look at the right side of the photo, you can see the Power Function battery sticking out.  This was just a quick 2 minute job to do this. I just placed the battery pack inside the Falcon and ran the wires with the led bulbs sticking into the blue hose. I was just curious to see how well it lit up. No mods. I would have to mod it if I was gong to hide the battery pack inside.

Can see the battery box when paying more attention. :)
Are you going to try to mod it to make the lights a permanent feature? It would be interesting to see how you achieve it.

I would, but I sold off this set on Bricklink. I have a bad habit of buying somewhat expensive sets I find on discount, build them once then sell it.
