    ADU Walker Anyone????
  • atkinsaratkinsar Member Posts: 4,272
^ Let's hope so, thanks for the heads up op.
  • MatthewMatthew Cheshire, UKAdministrator Posts: 3,734
It would appear it's a Star Wars one - http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=62797&st=0

Maybe this is the one they had originally for NOTW in the last promotion, and they did only have 10000 ADU Walkers.
  • atkinsaratkinsar Member Posts: 4,272
Oh well, would prefer the ADU Walker but this isn't a bad alternative I guess.

@pantboy - I expect so. It would be fantastic if it came with the paper, but that's not likely....

Does anyone outside of the UK need help this time around?
If you'd like either of them, or even some from last time email [email protected] with what you'd like, quantities and BrickLink username (sales through there). If you don't have a BrickLink account email me anyway, and I'll sort something out. Also open to trades.

    EDIT: - Ninja'd by LukeSkywalker.... :-)

I think it depends on store some are strict others less so. I heard one store made someone read the paper (jk)

  • LostInTranslationLostInTranslation UKMember Posts: 5,547
@mcvitie: it's an absolute lottery. I had no problem last time getting ten newspapers and sets, going away and pulling out the vouchers because the whsmith muppets didn't cross them out and then reusing them. I know other people went to stores where the one per person policy stated on the coupon was strictly enforced.

I'm sure some kind person (@matthew?) could provide a link to the thread for the previous promo to demonstrate this...

Just built mine. Nice little set. My WHS had four boxes behind the counter, for a pretty small shop.

Stroke of luck for me, my local Smyths had been sent next week's 30014 Police Helicopter instead of the Droid Fighter. So they gave me me 30014 and let me keep the voucher, which I proceeded to take to Tesco and collect the Droid Fighter :D

I've no real interest in City mind, so it'll probably just go onto my trading list if anybody is stuck.
  • bricksanbricksan Member Posts: 566
Just got back and managed to bag 3 of them, one for me, one for a friend and one for the give away I will be doing for Xmas on my site.

  • collect_thatcollect_that Kidderminster, EnglandMember Posts: 1,327
That would be telling! But I'm never short of promo polybags!
  • MinifigsMeMinifigsMe Member Posts: 2,844
@collect_that do you have any of the older promo bags? from before this year?
  • bricksanbricksan Member Posts: 566
@collect_that, if I can't get next week I might take you up on your offer.
  • collect_thatcollect_that Kidderminster, EnglandMember Posts: 1,327
@Savage_Steel I have boxes and boxes of polybags, although not as many as I thought as I'm rubbish at keepin' tabs on my collection and recently discovered I've traded away or misplaced a few!

But I'm in the middle of a big sort out and list of my full collection on brickset and I'm off-loading all duplicate polys (I always liked to keep 2 of each) now to make way for more I don't have. I'll update my trade thread tonight to show what is available.

@RJH - No probs mate! I'll keep one on standby :-)
  • luckyrussluckyruss UKMember Posts: 872
I also have a few of next week's set - although I'm not a great polybag hoarder. Were they not part of the Esso promotion back in the summer, I think that's where I got most of mine?
  • MinifigsMeMinifigsMe Member Posts: 2,844
@collect_that - cool - well I'd be interested in making those part of the trade/sale if you're still interested in 375 and 1589, though a bricklinker has requested a postage quote for 375, which tends to lead to a sale about 50% of the time from experience, so it might sell in the next couple of days, so move quick ;-)
  • leemcgleemcg Member Posts: 607
Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I've just been to my local LEGO store (Westfield Stratford) and they're giving away a choice of these polybags with every £25 spend. I didn't see anything advertising it, they just told me after I'd paid. (Maybe it was just for VIP members?)
