The foreign supermarkets (Auchan, Carrefour, Tesco) sell a lot of sets. There's Smyk and Toys'R'Us. There are even what look like brand stores (but aren't) in the form of Top Toys which seem to sell absolutely everything, including the exclusives.
LEGO sets are actually well-priced in Poland when compared to the rest of Europe, which is why I asked the question. That wasn't the case a year ago but the exchange rate has shifted enough to swing the balance. In other words, on a like-for-like basis, you're better off buying locally.
If you're thinking of the US (don't forget, this isn't a US site), that may be different. However, there never seem to be many Europeans buying from outside the EU because the additional hidden costs (import duty, VAT, postage) don't generally make it worth the savings.
Plus resellers that don't know what they are doing can be useful, someone has to buy the duds!
This thought will give me a smirk for the rest of the morning :)
not with the purpose to make some money!
my purpose is to get a better overview of my ever expanding collection and to get rid of things i dont need anymore/dont like anymore.
some sets look cool in the beginning/on the box but when u display them for a while they get old fast!
Also it would depend on what type of business you want to run and what kind of return you expect\need. If you want a shopfront, make a living and have an actual account with Lego it would run in to the tens of thousands of dollars. If its just online from home selling sets you find cheap or sets you keep until they retire then yeah it could be just a few hundred to start with.
