Yep, it's the Cars windscreen. The plain white version was already used in #43179 as part of Minnie and Mickey's noses.

The new shuttle #31117 looks like it has a new slope/windshield style part in white at the front of the bumps next to the vertical stabilizer.

Looks like a Pixar Cars recolor maybe.

Yes, looks like it's https://brickset.com/parts/design-30841 in white, which was previously in #43179.
Edit: just realised @vizzitor already posted this.

Only available in white for less than a year. Counts as new to me ;-)

Is it just me or are the parts making up the water wheel on the Creator Castle new? It’s like angled balustrades with pin holes.

Those were used in one of the friends house at the start of the year (I think). It’s a 3x3x2 part for curved windows, and it fits 2 small window inserts.

^indeed! It’s also used in the new Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets set as part of the tower build!

If it was introduced through a specific Friends set this year that would explain why I haven’t noticed it

I wonder if this animal piece will become as valuable as the goat in a couple of years

Probably not, unless like the goat it never shows up in more than one set. I've heard that issues with the mold were part of the reason for the goat never being reused so hopefully this will be designed to be used for years to come.

  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,556
I doubt any small animal will become as valuable as the goat, just like any set won't increase like the original UCS MF or Taj Mahal or Cafe Corner. Investing has changed in the past decade.

Is the goat the most valuable animal? There isn’t any other weird thing?

I find it crazy that 'we've' waited this long for a sheep (not including friends or duplo) and then it's appears in some random Donald Duck set.  Like it was finally an essential part that couldn't be missed out.

I might be wrong and perhaps we have a city farm set imminent and it just happened to be released here first... But also wouldn't surprise me if we never saw it again!

Wonder how long it'll be before we see it used for Lumière from Beauty and the Beast!

Wish granted! It’s in a new Beauty and the Beast Disney Princess minidoll set #43196

In the VIDIYO pictures, is the 2l "baton" part in the minifigs' hands a new part? It looks like part number 25866 (the lipstick piece) but with two of the squared-off ends and with pinholes at the bottom. If it's a physical part and not just in the app, that could be extremely useful!

Someone spotted on Instagram that it looks like Lego have actually made this part for #76193:

    OMG, that's awesome!

Now I just wish we could get a part that's the opposite (with clips instead of bars).

A lugmate alerted me to white masonry bricks on B&P. Theory is they are from the rumored Peach Castle from the Mario line.

I have a few of those 2x4s with axle holes. They've been around a little while now, but don't seem to have really caught on outside of Education sets.

I suppose if you need a piece with a vertical axle hole, the 2x2 round brick usually works well enough.

They were originally released with the new SPIKE Prime sets early last year, so I'm not too surprised they haven't spread a ton yet.  I have a feeling that we'll be seeing more of them as time goes on though, as I feel they provide more inherent stability than a lot of the current solutions which rely on round bricks.

If the UCS AT-AT is true then I could see them being used in that set. Especially in the legs.

They were also the special "exclusive" brick (with some printing) included in the first round of the Bricklink Designer Program sets which is where we first saw them if I recall correctly because the Spike Prime sets were actually released a little afterwards.

While hunting for the recoloured Fiat 500, I found these:

    https://www.lego.com/en-us/service/buildinginstructions/search?q=456*

of which 45608, Technic 3x3 "Color Light Matrix" is pretty interesting, presumably a 3x3 version of the Spike Prime thingy?

    • For use with the LEGO® Technic Small Hub (45609) and the LEGO Technic Large Hub (45601).

I think they're actually brand new molds, a little wider than the others.

I do wonder why they did them in yellow though, rather than black as they are on the real vehicle.

The tracks on the real vehicle are painted yellow at the factory, but they don't stay that way for long! Some pictures in the comments for the article on the main site.

A question from New Elementary for those of you who it might concern.
Every couple of months Tim publishes a list/table showing sets released with the most new elements:
    https://www.newelementary.com/2021/10/which-lego-sets-have-most-new-parts.html#more
you can view previous reports here too:
    https://www.newelementary.com/p/list-newest-lego-parts.html
The question is, do you find the information useful?
