Am I the only one who wishes these new frosting pieces meshed with the splat gears? :)

Also, Brothers Brick has pictures of new City sets, and there's an interesting new magnet combo, as well as a cool new motorcycle.

This is from a leaked Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker set. If it needs to be taken down go ahead.

No, you are not. They would probably look just as good with even spacing and even length drips but would also allow those splat gears to be used perpendicular.

The splat gears can be used perpendicular with each other at the moment.

There’s a small Moana set coming with a dog poo piece in white!

I love the recolours in #41397! 30176 bamboo leaves and 6064 bush now come in lime green and 4744 in yellow is printed to look like pineapple rind. It’s a 4+ set though...

I haven’t see much discussion about the arcade game molds... it will be interesting to see what original ways people come up with to use them in MOCs

Yeah, it will be interesting. They are way too big to be arcade machines for minifigures. Unfortunately they seem to be slightly too small to be able to insert an old Nokia 5110 screen inside. Although there are some similar small screens available, they would look great mounted inside one of these.

The (re)usefulness of the arcade boxes depends on if the stickers are pre-applied.

A few interesting parts in the Trolls sets... Mostly large and probably mostly unnecessary for most people.

I'm guessing the felt parts were required to get the licence as Kreo had similar.

I do like these music note decoration parts

These spiky round bricks look interesting...

I’m also liking the extra wide hot-air balloon parts and the pod-house pieces - maybe useful for botanical MOCs, alien cities, etc...

I could see some Elves applications for the lavender flex tube/vines...

I don't see a ton of use for the bulky fronts of those arcade pods (though I'm sure creative MOCists will prove me wrong).

The backs, on the other hand, look far more versatile and provide a really interesting shape.

I am interested to see if the lime leafy looking things holding the giant pod parts together will be useful outside of holding giant pod parts together.

I can see the fronts being used in large scale mechs as boots / feet or parts of legs. And, more likely for me if they are cheap, as a quite light weight filler / holder underneath mountainscapes.

Yeah, we'd seen them from the first 2020 Speed Champions reveal. Very neat part regardless—there are very few wedge plates that come to that sharp a point without adding an extra row of studs.

The Brick fan is reporting about a new white baseplate that is 30x30. Pardon my acronym, but WTF. Why wouldn't it be 32x32?
  • 560Heliport560Heliport Member Posts: 4,275
^That's nuts.TLG: if you have to raise the price, just do so; don't shrink the baseplate to an incompatible size.

They are going by that picture, but is that an actual picture or art work and LEGO just have it edited incorrectly?

If you count the rows of studs in the picture at the bottom of the package, it’s 32.

Looks like there is a new 2x4 jumper tile in the panda kindergarten Minecraft set #21158. It's in dark orange and holding the 2 plates together so must be 2x4. There also appears to be a green one in the same set.

The pineapple also comes in #41347. I just built that one up last week, and it's an absolute goldmine of fun food parts. The pineapple and tacos were my favorites.
  • CymbelineCymbeline Member Posts: 580
@klinton It's not a minifig head printed to look like a pineapple, it's a new pineapple print on a 2x4x2 yellow arch.
  • klintonklinton Member Posts: 1,256
Hahaha! How did I miss the big ass pineapple in the back? :p

Now, to budget for 20ish of those white base plates...

The 16x16 plates are right around $2/each on BnP and bricks can attach to the underside. So maybe that's still the way to go?

The nice thing about the 16x16 plates is it's easy to build to the MILS format, just did this for my winter village. Picked them up from my LUG's bulk order for quite a bit less than that.

    ^ MILS?
I'll be getting some of the white baseplates, but I much prefer using the 16x16 plates as well. I just wish lego would start making 32x32 plates and ditch the baseplates completely

@CCC and @tspike, thanks for that MILS reference. This is how I intend to build my Winter Village eventually. tspike, I'd be interested if you have any photos of your build?

I'll definitely save this document for reference as I move forward.

Just to drag this one back on topic, some nice printed tiles in the DC CMFs plus a new colour of fish.  Not sure I want many of the figs, but some of those accessories just resonate.

I found the new Friends "Surprise Pet" sets at Target today. They're $10 which feels overpriced to me, but I bought one anyway. I think $5 would be fair.

A new snot piece makes an appearance.

My surprise pet was a golden dog.

I feel bad for Friends animal completionists, at a minimum you're going to have buy 20 of the pods to get all the different colored animals. That's if you're lucky enough to get a unique animal each time. And there will be a second series... I'm hoping that they eventually are much lower priced or that the animals are available from Bricks&Pieces.

I'm generally a big fan of new SNOT parts, but that one doesn't look like it fills a real gap in the inventory.
