    As nice as those new narrow arches are... it will be MANY years until TLG creates them (or I should say finds a use for them in other sets) in other colors.  :-(

    Just look at the (very useful) 3x3 low slope inside corner (double concave) slopes... introduced in 2011 in the ROBIE HOUSE architectural set... and 7 years later still available in only an extremely limited color selection for a roof brick....

    Is this a new gun base in the Overwatch sets?



    If it is it looks like it could have some interesting SNOT applications. Also looks like there might be a pink one but only features in side of box art so not a great shot of it.

    It looks like the Hanzo v. Genji #75971 uses BB series droid top upside down in black for lanterns. Not a new part or even a new color but without printing is new I believe. Very fun part for details.

    Also always just nice to have confirmation that a mold created for a licensed theme is not IP-locked, since sometimes which molds are or aren't IP-locked can be a little counter-intuitive.

    New fireman’s axe spotted in at least one of the new City sets. Easy to see on the box art for the smallest ‘4+’ set.

    The one on the boat looks interesting, if it functions like shown on the box, seems like an alternative to the six stud rapid shooter.

    There's definitely new recolours in the new sets but not had chance to look closely enough to see if there's any brand new parts.
    Love the use of reddish brown ingots for the chocolate bar.

    That set also seems to include some sort of 3x3 dome and a 2x2x2 inverted cone for the ice cream character.

    There's a new studded gear system in the party bus set, sort of like the Duplo gears or the old Samsonite cogs.

    And recolors galore, including our first sightings of new color Vibrant Coral and a Trans. Bright Bluish Violet recolor of the UCS Slave I windscreen!

    oh wow I didn't realize that was a new color. Not too far from sand red! I look forward to grabbing a bunch of coral bricks next year!

    One thing that occurred to me now that we have our first pics of the new color "in the brick" is that it'd be the perfect color for Steven Universe's shirt, which is sort of midway between red and pink. Not that we're likely to get a theme or anything, but if I ever wanted to make a BrickHeadz version of the character or something it'd be a good match.

    Sorry, I'm obviously completely overlooking it, but what's the new colour? Is it that pinky reddish colour? I was looking for a blue, with it being called Vibrant Coral. Strange name for it.

    Corals come in all sorts of colors, but coral as a color refers to an approximation of the Mediterranean corals which were treasured as gemstones and traded throughout the ancient world: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precious_coral

    I wouldn't really compare Vibrant Coral to Sand Red, since the latter was less orange+pink and more gray+red. Like, sometimes as a kid I liked to try to use Sand Red as a lip color on brick sculptures inspired by the ones I saw in pictures from LEGOLAND parks (although needless to say, completing a model like that without any kind of digital or paper sketches was way beyond my building level then and probably still is now). But vibrant coral would be much more believable as either a natural lip color or lipstick, whereas sand red would probably make you look kind of sickly… needless to say, I understand why it wasn't used as other frequently missed colors like Bright Bluish Green or Bright Violet in the first place, let alone why it hasn't been brought back.

    I am rather disappointed many of the new LM2 sets feature orange brick separators instead of teal ones. I'm sure I will end up with dozens of teal ones eventually but it does dampen my enthusiasm.

    @Bumblepants At the Minifig event in Billund where we were introduced to the teal brick separator, it was explained that the decision to add a teal or orange one in a set would be driven by which colour would stand out the most amongst the content of the set.

    So with a lot of teal bricks in #70830 Sweet Mayhem's Systar Starship! and #70828 Pop-Up Party Bus, it makes sense to add an orange brick separator to those sets.

    There's a couple of new parts in the new Minecraft pirate set - parrot head, parrot wings (although that could just be a printed tile), and some kind of fire plate (2x2 plate with probably two middle studs and flames sticking up each side).

    Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems the Big angry kitty set 70827 uses a 2x5x2 brick for her face? We rarely ever see x5 pieces of anything in LEGO.

    Wasn't interested in the Chinese New Year sets until someone pointed out the yellow Sausages, whicg made me notice the LEGO Movie 2 1x1 heart tile in orange too! Now I want it for parts...

    Also, pretty sure the Minecraft build able figures have new parts for their weapons - I thought they were when image first leaked but now there's higher res images I'm fairly certain

    The new Speed Champions Mini has something new for the wheel arches I believe. It looks similar to a black sausage but curved too much to be that. Also the car is 5-wide!

    Between that and the Unikitty part, could we be entering the era of the 5 stud brick?
