I'm excited for the curly plant stem recolored in black for the new Harry Potter carriage. Will be great for detailing all sorts of structures.
That's pretty much the extent of my interest in the set. Would be great for some sort of Elves villain or something.
The new Thestral wings could be interesting as well since they match the style of the existing dragon wings, but with an attachment style more like the eagle and pegasus wings!

Looks like the 1x4 brick facade part is recolored in dark bluish gray in #10760 Underminer Bank Heist. Should be quite handy for a lot of mocers.

Looks like the unikitty sets have quite a lot of new parts

Cant figure out the shoulder wings, suspect new part

Also the beak and shades - looks like the shades could be on a 1x2 plate, not sure on the beak - my guess is it’s part of the brick behind it

puppycorn ears - look similar to the tooth piece but less pronounced on the front and no stud on top

The piece behind the head looks like a new piece, but could be wrong - doesn’t look like existing snot pieces topped with a tile but it could be

I think this head head is a new piece that’s similar to existing Duplo pieces - also the ears are the new 1x1 triangles seen in the Hogwarts hall set in a new colour - there are a couple of other unikity sets featuring them

I cant think of how the pink petals are done except a new part.

it Also looks like unikity has a new neck bracket but that’s been pointed out a few other places

Apparently the neck bracket is the existing 1x1 round  tile with rod, but there's a new 1x3 inverted tile with a hole, which it fits into. You can see that tile on one of the boxes where she's laid down in the lab.

    I think this uses a 1x2 + 2x2 bracket behind the 2x2 round tile.

^what part do you mean by that?

Initially I thought it was https://brickset.com/parts/6123809/brick-1x2x1-2-3-w-4-knobs

but the flat flat top is too flush to the top of the face to be achieved with a 1x2 tile on top.

With you... it certainly could be that always hard to tell with the low res box art images where there might be breaks in parts. I does only look to be one brick thick, rather than a brick and a bracket, but that could be the angle
  • PaperballparkPaperballpark Member Posts: 4,270
To me the bottom right corner looks to stick out a bit.

Better arctic set pics are out, and it also looks like a weasel/mink or something'- is in the line as well with the sabertooth tiger and Woolly mammoth, and with the Polar Bear again for those who missed it in the last arctic set.

Ahhh.. Yeah, looks like it. I wonder if this line is a wink and a nod to Ice Age.. Only missing the sloth.

I am so hoping this isn't a troll, I have a few builds that could use them...
It's not a troll. They're going to be in some of the upcoming sets. Not sure which ones, just yet...

They seem to be making a lot of modified parts with studs that are open or recessed. I wonder why they don't make regular plates with studs with holes in.

@FowlerBricks, what colours are you hoping they'll available in? I'm hoping we'll at least get Black, LBG, DBG, White, Reddish Brown, Blue & Red (if TLG really want to be nice, they could also do Copper, Flat Silver, Pearl Dark Grey & Pearl Gold).

@VorpalRyu: I'll be happy if we can get black, brown, light bley and dark bley. Dark red might be nice too, but I'm not holding my breath.

All three sets with the three new animals. At least, I think the third one has a new animal.

^The Husky piece was introduced in the last wave of City Arctic subtheme sets and us since been in a few others (juniors etc)

the last set does feature a new rat that wqs that was officially revealed in the Hogwarts great hall set

I just wish that TLG would make the series of classical Greek column tops.... Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian.... just in white and tan.... not unrelated colors that don't match together... that TLG does so often....  It would make so many people so happy....

They already make smooth and fluted column drums (2x2 round bricks)... so those aren't necessary, although smooth and fluted columns would be cool (I know there are already smooth ones).

    These would be so awesome....

Ionic ones are made, as the 1x1 brick with scroll attachment. I know they're not quite as decorative, but they're a reasonable approximation.

I must be getting picky as I get older.... I'm about as happy with those as I am with using the back of headlight bricks as windows!  ;-)

Also those Ionic substitutes look better when you use the (pre-1978) solid stud round bricks.

Yep, and I think that is a new color for the regular beanie as well.

Ah, though it was a new dog mould at first glance.

Didn’t see this at first, but the new mountain pack for 2018 has a printed egg tile:

It’s just a bad perspective.  The tall brick next to the door is 2-wide. If you follow the line up, you can see that there is a tile that ends at the same width.   So the tile has to be 1x6 since there has never been a 1x5, which means normal 4 studs for the door.
    MynattmadforLEGO
  • BrickByBrickBrickByBrick Member Posts: 748
Or there could be a 1x5 tile in addition to the door...
  • 560Heliport560Heliport Member Posts: 4,235
If you look at the bottom of the door... it sure looks to be the same width as the brick or bricks next to it... and above that is the tall 1x2 brick, and the inverted windscreen, which is one stud deep on the bottom... I think we have a new 3-wide door AND a 1x5 tile!

That's what I thought at first too, tried zooming in but got nowhere, then as 560Heliport said and this is what I looked at to come the conclusion, 1x2 brick + 1x1 base for window is 3 so leaving 3 for the door.

Might be very helpful for trains and scale a bit better than the 1x4.
