Any of the sets they have on sale in the U.S. I either already have or don't want.  Yet another disappointing Black Friday for me.  I did get my 4 $5 vouchers & a code for the Pirate Ship ride.  No interest in any of the "Redeem for Less" VIP points deals.  Guess I'll wait to see what's still available from my wishlist when they get around to releasing the second Holiday GWP.

Did the exact same. Nothing that I really wanted.

Eiffel tower was tempting with the GWP, but ultimately decided to save for another day.

And as cool as that previous sentence sounds you can quantify my indecision by the fact it's 1am and it released an hour ago...

Got lucky here!!!   The set I wanted (#31201) wasn’t listed as being Black Friday discounted but when I looked under my wish list - there it was.  Good thing too because I passed on it while Target had it on sale.  Target had it a little cheaper but I needed multiple sets so I wanted to use VIP points to lessen the sting.  Kind of a wash anyway.

I got a few sets on sale. I have a few more I would like to get, but holding out hope they stick around until Dec1st for the next promos. Also redeemed my Dragon ride promo in addition to getting the LEGO house and Elf skating promos.

Surprised they don’t have their wooden collection of shelves, frames, storage boxes etc up for a Black Friday deal.  That’s how they hooked me on the wooden minifigure a couple years back.   Not that I would have pulled the trigger this time.  Well, maybe if they were 85% off or priced anywhere near what they’re worth.   They’re nice but not worth what they’re asking.

I’ll disagree a little bit about the original Coaster. I didn’t think the build was that great. It was fine, but I got extremely tired of shoving round bricks onto technic axles. Really, really tired of it.
The axles and connecting arms did get a bit repetitive.  I deemed most of that stuff unimportant, but when I went to MOC it, it was super unstable and I realized how important all the connecting structures were.  I have a lot more appreciation for the build because I want to MOC it, not because it was super fun.  I did find some parts really interesting, like the tires at the top connecting to the motor that moves the cars along or the lift.  I don't know how enthusiastic about the new coaster's tower I am, but I am sure the loop and track will be interesting.  I haven't built it yet, so maybe I should hold off judgement.

As for the S@H sales today, I was able to grab an Eiffel Tower at my local LEGO store and will update the forum on my progress in the other threads later today.

Rakuten back up to 15% for Black Friday.

If anyone still isn't signed up:

Same disclosure as last time - it's a referral code, and if you use it, we'll both get some cash.  Happy Black Friday shopping!

Hmm, I only have 12% (3% for exclusives). I have seen others post 15% also so not sure why some get different amounts. This is at least the second time this has happened. And I always get the lower amount!  Oh well, 12% is still pretty good.

It happened last time it was 15% too, there were a lot of theories on why some get different offers.  How long have you been signed up?

So Lasership "delivered" my package yesterday.  I did not receive it, despite multiple emails and explanations of how to get a hold of me, my wife, and how to find my house.

I called Lego this morning and they were kind enough to reship the order (Express) and help make this right.

My three boxes are coming UPS.
So I had a bit of a scare. Saturday night, tracking said two of my three boxes were delivered at 9:06pm. I wasn't there but I figured my grandma brought them into the house. Later I got a notice that the third box was delivered at 11:16pm! I worried all night that it was left on the porch and would be gone in the morning. First thing Sunday morning I called and apparently all three boxes were sitting on the porch when my grandma woke up. UPS never rang the doorbell, knocked, or anything for either delivery the night before.

On a bright side, every single item I ordered was in perfect condition. Not a dent or a scratch on anything.

The new promos are live, I put in a part order over 200 USD and got the Fleece blanket, Santa's workshop, Creator Winter holiday train poly, the Fun and Funky VIP pack, and cashed in my code for the Pirate ship VIP reward.. Easily the most promos I have gotten in one order (as least in a long long time)

    Double points this weekend…
decided I didn’t need Santa’s workshop because there’s nothing I want to buy to meet the threshold after all my Black Friday spending. Double Points has me contemplating trying to get it again. Anyone else in the same boat?

^ I was finding it a challenge to find enough reasonably priced sets to qualify for the last GWP's.   Sure there are a couple of biggie Star Wars sets I want, but can't justify the cost on, but most other stuff has been checked off of my wish list.

I mean, no matter how you feel about the set, $174.99 with double points, Santa's Workshop GWP, and the VIP Addon Pack is a good deal.  Personally, it got me to pull the trigger on it earlier than I would have otherwise.
  • binaryeyebinaryeye Member Posts: 1,831
If it's worth it to you, then it's a good deal. Personally, the set could be down to $50 and it still wouldn't be a good deal to me. I just have no interest in it whatsoever.

If I were more of a MOC builder, or a city builder especially, it'd be worth it to pick up that set at the 30% off just for all of the minifig parts!

Can’t believe no one has mentioned the 20% off end of year sale at S@H, including the “big 3” older Monkie kid sets. Of course this comes only a couple weeks after I purchased both secret HQ and fruit flower mountain. Still, I jumped on the Monkie mech for $119.99 immediately!

If the Blacktron promo wasn't next week I would probably be tempted but perhaps some sale items will still linger next week.

Yeah, the last of the year sale kinda caught me off guard, but there were a few sets that I wanted. As much as I wanted to wait until Jan1st to get them I did not want the chance that they would sell out before then (plus I know I'm getting the Jazz Mod once its available so I know Ill have enough to get the Blacktron promo)

Now I have an excuse to get the new Tie Bomber and Boba Fett ship.  I'll have to figure out what pieces I need most for my roller coaster too.  Thanks.

Got my Roller Coaster a few days early yesterday.  It must not be selling well for some reason because it has a "Do not sell before July 1st" sticker on it.

I would love to get one, but the issue is its  really a 'one' design set, I mean you can try to redo it to another roller coaster design, but the whole thing is built around the loop, and not exactly cheap either.
I felt similar about the soccer stadium sets - not a fan of Real Madrid, Barca or Man U and would be hard to adapt one of those to Everton
#10299 Santiago Bernabeu is closest to Goodison Park of the three but still more rounded on the outer rectangle

I get this, for me a lot of large set builds get tedious. I liked #21309 Saturn V partly because the similar halves/quarters of the cylinder made it easier to put together

I ended up doing exactly that.  I remembered seeing the 6 pack and grabbed QTY 2 of those.  Also redeemed the pirate ship bricktober thing.

Smart thinking @jmeninno ! The double 6 pack was smart. I had a pick a brick order and added to it, panicked!

I had to keep refreshing the website to be able to order the 6-pack.  It kept showing "coming soon" until about 10:30 MST.  Also ordered the Monkie Kid Team Hideout so the Blacktron GWP is coming to as well as the VIP Lunar Pack & the Panda Creator Panda Bear VIP Reward.

Apparently, if there is one. I dont understand LEGO's logic as the Jazz club will probably be on backorder by then (if not temp out of stock).

Last year the taxi was initially available with any $200 purchase and then it was available a second time with any modular purchase. I don’t remember if BH was in stock at either point, but they don’t seem to really see it as tied directly to BH for purchases. They want to get people to buy MORE than they normally would, not necessarily just shift their one modular purchase for the year.

Minifigure Series 24 is being offered for sale at $5.99 CA individually but if you want to buy a 6 pack it will cost you $4.06 extra with still no idea of what you are getting. As I understand it I would still not be guaranteed of a complete series 24 by buying 2 6-packs at an $8.12 premium.

Managed to order everything I had listed (17 items) shortly after midnight 1/1 and glad I did as several are now on back order or otherwise delayed. I am a bit annoyed that LEGO brings out a whole bunch of things I want all at once! NOT FAIR!!!

I have a decent wishlist growing.  I only ordered enough to get me over the GWP threshold for the Blacktron set.  A lot of what I want I know will end up being sold at lower prices from regular retailers such as Walmart & Target so I play a waiting game for non-exclusives.  My strategy also allows for me to decide later on if I really need or want some sets once future items get revealed.  I also try to judge which pricier sets I really want as they rarely get reduced much unless Walmart does a big clearance.  Around here I rarely see any get down to less than 40% off and usually not anything that retails for over $100.  I also know there are more GWP's coming later in the month so hopefully some of my wishlist items will be available then so I can take advantage.  I've managed to train myself to avoid FOMO if I don't grab something on day one and absent a good GWP or double points offer it's been working out.

Completely forgot that the LoTR BHz were a 1/1 release. Thankfully, they're all still in stock. However, I'm tempted to roll the dice and wait for the new Disney 4-pack to come out on Feb 1 and snag them all together.

Pretty positive I saw a number of other Disney BHz rumors for this year too, so might be a busy year for Brickheadz purchases!

I had also completely forgotten about them until I started filling my virtual shopping basket with some PoweredUp stuff I had in my wishlist. Saw the Brickheadz and threw them in as well. Got the 3 LOTR plus the Tusken Raider. Those, the PU stuff, and a bunch of additional supplies for track ballast got me the Blacktron GWP. I'll have to come up with some other things to get me to $250 later this month. Ugg!!

Im am trying to get myself to that point of not worrying about FOMO. I really only get the Mod as a day one purchase now as I have all of them currently, but everything else for the most part can be gotten later for me. I mean even the Boutique hotel at Walmart has shown me that apparently those even go 'down to' 200 but I used some VIP points to get the Jazz club down to 190, so I got the promo and the Jazz club under RRP so I could sleep a bit better knowing I still 'got a deal' on it and got the promo. Also, parts appearing in PaB online also help with not needing a set for just a handful of parts at this point.

The Monkie kid polybag with $40+ MK purchase had been mentioned. The Bionicle tribute should overlap to February and still rumors of a pizza delivery vehicle that pairs with the modular. Nothing concrete though.

Anyone else notice that there are no sets being offered double VIP points all month on S@H this month?  I wonder if they decided to stop that type of monthly offer.  Has anyone heard anything about them discontinuing the monthly double VIP points offers?  Not that I usually took advantage of these offers since often times it was on a set I already had or it was a set already selling for less money elsewhere or something I had no interest in.

Placed an order later on January 1st.  It's now January 5th and my order for #76218 Sanctum Sanctorum (on my wish list for a while and big enough to qualify for the free stuff) is STILL "In Warehouse".  I did the slower shipping, but didn't think it would take this long to actually ship.  I wish they gave better estimates for that.
  • karritkarrit Member Posts: 1,067
My order just shipped last night from January 1st according to the e-mail I received from Lego, actually was ordered at around 10:30 PM MST on 12/31.  Got the receipt from Lego and tracking notice from UPS earlier today. So I wouldn't worry yet.

I made four orders early on January 1st. Three are now on their way but one has finally moved from In Process to In Warehouse. I figure they will get here when they get here <sigh>. Of course their is always the 1950's Diner via Bricklink that was ordered back in May and is not yet on its way.
